Welcome and Introductions
Method of being more productive and making better use of your time. Only as good as the person using it. Very useful BUT we have to remember that not all clientel make use (have access) to these services. Have to decide if this is worth your effort with each with whom you work. Don’t stereotype however…technology is not just the province of the young. Older generations are making more use of technology than ever before.
Article from 2010 Doodle – older, often used in extension, very simple Meeting Wizard – older, bare bones – corporate look Flexvite – very graphic friendly interface, integrates with most major calendar systems ScheduleOnce – integrates with google calendar, simple interface, most automatic of the ones above NeedToMeet – ok, better ones are available Tungle – very high functionality, syncs with a variety of calendars, works for all manner of events, more long term and complex choice TimeToMeet – similar to others, only free for one month When is Good – Simple, not integrated with other calendars These are just a few examples…a quick online search also found setser, congregar, presdo, diarised, and meet o matic (to name a few). I would suggest using Doodle to start with and then branching out to something like Tungle or a premium verision of Doodle if you find you need more capability.
Many you can choose. – don’t get overwhelmed. Start simple and work your way up. Try one and then add on as you use it. It doesn’t help to say this is too complicated and ditch it! What do you need to accomplish? Do you want to send out notifications? Select a date? Share documents? Synch with your calendar? Choose one that takes some of the load off of you. Should be simple and not confusing. Research online before starting (if you want!!).
