3. Technology Blogs
This blog explains that with
the introduction of Google
Fiber, which plans to enter
the city of Charlotte, North
Carolina, competing cable
operator Time Warner
Cable is trying to hold onto
customers by dramatically
increasing Internet speeds
at no extra charge.
I believe its an excellent
tactic to keep customers,
as long as they’re still
making a profit.
4. Technology Blogs
This blog specifies about five
mysterious technologies that are
alleged to have been suppressed by
powerful persons, companies, and
governments. For example, inventor
Stanley Meyer claimed that he had
built a dune buggy that ran on water
instead of petrol, however the
invention disappeared along with co-
creators; and its claimed that Meyer
was poisoned after he refused to sell
his patents or end his research.
I would like to know what really
happened to all these great
inventions, they are interesting
stories.
5. Technology Blogs
The blog explains how
company Protection 1 has
created a converged,
high performance virtual
infrastructure that has
made them more
capable, flexible and
more scalable, also
allowing them to
complete their 2 main
goals: Be Available Always
and Do More with Less.
I think they really found
how to improve their IT
system yet reduce costs
to have excellent
performance.
6. Business Blogs
The blog explains how
Twitter wants to control
the way its customers
ingest its data, so decided
to cancel a contract with
company Datasift, ehich
provides customers with
an integrated data feed
and process data streams
for them. Mr. Suster
explains why that is a huge
move for Twitter and how
Datasift is in no way built
on Twitter’s platform.
Based on the information
given by Mr. Suster, twitter
probably made an error in
cancelling the contract.

The blog author explains
that for him, perhaps the
most strongest marketing
technique to get awarennes
to new customers is by
customer referrals. Nothing
speaks better than knowing
from close peers and
friends that a company they
were satisfied with, is a go-
to place.
His theory is very true, as learned by
previous marketing classes. The
technique is also one of the fastest
ways to get new customers.
9. Entertainment Blog
The Huffington post
allows bloggers, such
as Karen Fratti to post
amusing blogs such as
this one, talking about
the t.v. series Grey’s
Anatomy and what she
thinks is occurring to
cast member Dereck, in
addition to what was
currently going on last
week’s episode.
These types of blogs are
very useful for other
bloggers to gossip about
their favorite TV show, or
for another fan to catch up
on episodes they missed.
10. Entertainment Blog
This particular blog
reveals that actor Ian
McKellen will be the new
voice of the sassy clock,
Cogsworth, in the new
production of Disney’s
Beauty and the Beast.
Blog posts such as this is just
another way to get information
around, and it comes quite useful
most of the time, now Disney fans
will have a better understanding on
the actors voicing the film.
11. Entertainment Blog
This blog entry talks about m
many entertainment highlights
that were occurring at the time,
for example, one highlight is on
singer Miley Cyrus who openly
tells “haters” to go away on
Twitter. Moreover, the blog
reveals many actors and singers’
news, such as actor Sean Young
getting kicked out of a party, in
addition to many more news.
Many entertainment blogs just like to
clarify the audience about dilemmas
happening to Hollywood stars, but
nevertheless gives some valuable
information to whom it may interest.
12. There are many type of web-based collaboration tools n
available for organizations and individuals,. These tools
offer a plethora of benefits, such as allowing for easy
access and easy transferability from one person to
another; users don’t have to e-mail documents back and
forth or worry about having the latest version of the
software installed. However, the perhaps the main
disadvantage is that without internet connection, one
cannot access any shared information or files with others.
Web-Based Collaboration Tools
13. Google Docs. Is described as an online office suite
comprised of a spreadsheet application, a word processor,
and a presentation application. The documents,
spreadsheet, and presentations can be created in the Web
application or imported from other tools (e.g., Microsoft
Office)
I chose to demonstrate the utilities of Google Docs, as you
will see, this tool is very much similar to Microsoft Office,
well it has the same function, to format any letter, note,
memorandum, or any other written document.

14. Google Docs
In the screenshot, one can see that the signed-in user, with a Google account, has the
ability to insert photos, make tables, inert the page number, change the font size, color,
format, and style, as one pleases. These are all utilities one is similar to in Microsoft
Office, however the advantage here is that this document automatically saves to your
Google account and corresponding Google Drive. This document will then be available
from any computer or phone when I log into my account.
15. LinkedIn has become one of the most important connecting
tools for professionals, one states his or her occupation
educational history, skills, a picture, and other valuable
information to professionals.
The social media site has extremely useful features such as:
Recommendations which allows other connections you have to
recommend your profile to another professional. Recommendations
serve as powerful testimonials to one’s hard work, dedication, and
ultimate employability.
Following a company profile allows a user to get updates on key
developments that are posted from the company.
Jobs this feature of the site is the place where one goes to find a job
using LinkedIn
LinkedIn
16. LinkedIn Groups can be made that join
people that are of
professional interest, such as
a specific companies,
universities, associations,
clubs, and others; with this
one can begin to see and
connect with others with
similar career fields or
working in the same industry.
Companies are just a
company’s profile o LinkedIn
in which one can see basic
information about the
company and people that
currently work there. The
company also tells if theres
any job openings
17. I believe it is great that a social website such as
LinkedIn exists. Of course there have been previous
websites in which allow for employ recruiting and job
searching, but this system has the specific purpose of
keeping people and companies of the same interest
connected to facilitate employment, advantaging
both the employer and possible employees.
