3. Historical facts In 1923 Kyustendil
District Standing Committee
began construction of a two-
storey building in the town of
Radomir .
The building was
completed in 1925.
• The Ministry decided to
open a state electrical
practical school during the
years 1925-1926.
• In 1951 the school was
renamed Technical Electrical
Engineering school and since
23d November 1951 it has
been carrying the name of
Nikola Vaptsarov.
4. Nikola Vaptsarov
Vocational School is
the oldest electrical
school in Bulgaria.
During its long history
the school has given
profession to over 7 000
specialists for home
power engineering.

in our school and 25
teachers. We have 19
studies, 3 IT rooms, 2
gymnasiums, a library
and 5 laboratories.

opportunity to travel Capitals
virtually around Europe. One
of the routes was the route
Sofia – Rome – Madrid. The
final destination were
Castilian Madrid nights.
10. Debate Club
The Debate club offers
waging of effective
disputes. It helps the
participants develop a
complex of logical and
critical thinking. There
is a 5-member jury that
assesses following given
criteria.

Volleyball
It is often said that
students who do sports
study better because
sports help the overall
development of a
personality. Sports teach
us discipline, order, desire
for self – expression and
ethics.
12. Theatre Club
Theatre helps building
many important character
qualities. First is
discipline, because there
are rehearsals every day
and they last until late in
the evening and if someone
makes a mistake,
everything should be
repeated again. Theatre
teaches how to speak in
front of a public, not to feel
embarrassed and to get
ready for life.
The participants perform
sketches, beat boxes and
modern dances.

The students learn how
to dance different folklore
dances typical for the
region and the country.
They perform in charity
concerts and other
activities organized by the
school.
14. Established more than 85
years ago, Nikola Yonkov
Vaptsarov Vocational
School, Radomir, is the
oldest electrical school in
Bulgaria. Today it keeps
searching and finding the
right way to the young
people. The recipe is
mutual trust, modern
specialties, interesting
ideas, ways students to
express their creativity
and serious and reliable
professional training.
