In the 1976 Olympics, Bruce Jenner was an America hero – placing gold in the decathlon, but now he is
unfortunately known as another celebrity that underwent poor plastic surgery. While some rumors are more
outlandish such as saying he undergoing the procedures to convert to female, a lot of it is just him undoing
the errors made during his past surgeries.
Jenner has never been private about the plastic surgery procedures he has under gone – he even mentioned
it on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians when he underwent corrective surgery for his botched
face lift.

He is also well aware of the reports people make regarding his procedures, even saying, ”If you Google my
name, the worst plastic surgeries of all time of whatever it is – they’ve compared me to Michael Jackson.”
The rumors of Jenner making the steps towards a sex change began after he grew his hair long and then
underwent a tracheal shave – however, Jenner has made public statements with how he has never favored
his Adam’s apple.
Tracheal Shave: a common surgical procedure where the Adam’s apple (cartilage) is shaved down through a
small incision in the throat – it is popular among trans­women with achieving their ideal female appearance
as well as some men and women who are simply uncomfortable with the size of their Adam’s apple.
People Magazine interviewed a plastic surgeon that has never worked on Jenner and he stated that he may
have body dysmorphic disorder – which basically means he has unrealistic expectations for his appearance,
but is doing whatever he can to be satisfied.
Correcting Botched Plastic Surgery
Jenner is not suffering from body dysmorphic disorder. In reality, he hasn’t had that many procedures – the

3. one’s he has been public about is his rhinoplasty, botched face lift, and tracheal shave. The surgeries he’s
had since the two first botched procedures were to correct the errors made by previous surgeons. Therefore,
Jenner is only trying to correct the mistakes he made years ago and be comfortable with his appearance
rather than being self­conscious about a face that he doesn’t feel is his own.
