FEATHER
1. FEATHER…..
A bad dreamgot me up before the dawn,Icouldn’tsleepagain, asitwasgone.
Tired,weak,butunwillingtosleep,satnearthe window,couldnotevencreep.
Sittingat the window,Iwasamazedto see youthere,
As white asmilk, fusedin the darkandthinlike hair.
I was amazed,whenyoucrossedmyvisionoutof the blue,
I couldsee yourstruggle,andyourbrave fightwiththe dew.
I couldsee youbeingpushed,deviatedfromyourpath
I saw,you foughtagainstthatdreadful wrath.
You keptmoving,notevensure of yourdestination,
Fightingfromthe hurdles,whateverbe the situation.
Notafraidof the webwhichcouldgetyou entangled,
You movedboldly,and, likeadiamond,youspangled.
From all those troublesItriedtoblowyouaway,
Couldn’treachyoufromthere, I couldjustonlypray.
I was helplesstoholdyou, asyou were outof my reach,
But I watchedandunderstood,whatyoutriedtoteach.
