2. Every Challenge Has A Song to be
Discovered
2: The Process
• Then, Define The Challenge
3: Holistic Approach
• The Caregiver and
Collaborator at Work
4: Pitch, Reflect, Perfect
• Test Solution for Flow
5: Implementation
• This key is necessary
6: Refine
• Adjust as needed
• Close Challenge
1: What is that Song?
• First, observe and try to find
a rhythm
3. Step 1:Defining The Challenge
As I reflect on my personal process for
solving a challenge. I realize that I have not
had any formal training in this area.
However, I am confident saying that my
approach is indeed “holistic”.
What is that song I hear?
4. Step 1: Define
Challenge
Observe Situation
From a Technical
and Human
Perspective
Step 2: Gather
Input
Take Survey of
Audience Needs,
Wants, and Desires
Step 3:
Incorporate
talents
Draft A Viable
Solution, test for
flow and
functionality
Step 4: Pitch and
Reflect
Ask team to
approve drafted
solution
Step 5:
Implement
Timeline
Adjust as Needed
Step 6:
Refine the
Reality
From first glance, things aren’t always what the seem. So before I
begin a challenge, I try to analyze the wholeness of a matter by
looking at the technical and human characteristics. This helps me
to properly DEFINE THE CHALLENGE and find a rhythm.
5. • I’m not afraid to work
alone however, I do
understand that I don’t
have all of the answers to
everything. As a
collaborator, I bring the
human experience to a
diverse team. Together,
we draft a viable solution.
Even in this role, I am The
Caregiver for the team.
STEP 2: GATHER INPUT
• It is true, I identify with the
caregiver, In facing a
challenge, I take to heart
the concerns of the
people involved in the
solution’s intended
outcome. I try understand
the audience I am
creating for from a
human-centered
experience.
STEP 3: INCORPORATE TALENTS
The Holistic Approach
Is The Caregiver & Collaborator at Work
It Seems to
Make More
Sense
When You
Connect the
Heart to the
Solution
6. Step 4: Pitch, Reflect, Perfect
Here We Pitch The Drafted Solution, Reflect on the
Flow of human design, and Adjust As Needed
7. Once the drafted solution is accepted, implementation is
the key to completing the challenge.
As a collaborator, this is where I recognize the true value
in having a MIGHTY VOICE on the team. In other words,
a results-oriented person who can help the team move
concepts to reality. Otherwise, it’s just talk.
Step 5: Implementation is Key
Sing The New Song Loud
8. Step 6: Refine the Reality:
If there are bumps found in the design:
1) Re-visit Step 2 of the process &,
2) Move forward in accordance to the timeline
