This document summarizes Mei's operations for fiscal year 2011, ending June 30th 2012. Mei is an Italian company founded in 1985 that designs and manufactures machinery for automating processes in the optical industry. In 2011, Mei experienced 45% revenue growth to 28.9 million Euros. Their product portfolio includes industrial edgers and milling machines for lenses and frames. Mei exhibited their products at several optical trade shows around the world in 2012 and has production facilities in Italy along with sales offices in the US and Hong Kong.

2. Here is our philosophy: innovating the working
process in the optical field, providing new solutions
that allow the labs, lenses and frames manufacturers
to increase their flexibility and production rate, by
simplifying the process and reducing production
costs.

3. • Founded in 1985
• In the beginning, Mei designed and provided customized
machineries for factory automation and for electronically
controlled multi axe machining.
• In the ’90s the main Italian eyewear manufacturers asked
the first industrial edger for solar lenses and masks
• In 2002 the MonospheraRX-DD was born: the first milling
technology industrial edger for ophthalmic lenses
• Now the company is totally devoted to the Optical
Industries

4. • At the end of 2011 we presented TBA Unit, an external
device for Bisphera-XDD. TBA Unit is an inspection and
loading system that allows to load single-vision and
progressive lenses without blocks and adhesive.
• Middle of 2012 we presented EZ Line, an external conveyer
line for Bisphera-XDD (also equipped with TBA Unit) able
to set in line up to 8 machines.
• During 2012 MEI exhibited at MIDO (Milan), Vision Expo
East (New York), SIOF (Shanghai), Vision Expo West (Las
Vegas), Hong Kong Optical Fair (Hong Kong)
