lived then in Detroit which was a
difficult area, he got beaten to
the coma when he was 10.

3. Career
 In 2000 Eminem made a lot of
money for the first time, he sold
90 millions in the whole
world(42 in the states).
He was also the only rapper
who won an Oscar for the most
original song. He got chosen as
the artist of decade. After 2000
he was on of the biggest stars
in the world.

4. 8 Mile
 2002 the movie 8 mile came
out, it is a movie about his
life and his up and downs,
about his career as a
freestyler and his relation to
his girlfriend and mum. It
was a great success in the
cinemas. This movie
explains that he is a huge
star because a biography
was made of him and that
someone wanted to release
his story in the cinemas
which shows again that he
is really important in the
industry

5. Drug addiction
 Eminem has always
taken drugs in his life but
it got really worrying after
his family problems and
after the death of his best
friend proof. It was a bad
time of his career, he took
a lot of drugs to forget all
his problems, close to the
death Em took a long
time to catch him self . He
went to rehab and
needed help of his
friends.

got shot in the CCC, a
club in Detroit during a
altercation. The death of
proof really hit him hard,
he didn’t produce music
for a long time after that

 Eminem hated his mother,
because she wasn’t a good
mother. Eminem as always wrote
new songs to open his mind to the

much he hated his mom

music during his career.
When he started his career
he produce a lot of ‘gangster
rap’, he worked together with

are big names in the rap
industry. Then sometimes he
made funny songs to
ridicules other artists such as
Michael Jackson, Britney
Spears. Also he made
emotional songs about his
life like ‘Mockingbird’
‘When I’m gone’ and ‘cleanin
out my closet’. Now he
makes more commercial
songs to reach a mass
audience, he works together
with Rihanna and Bruno
Mars for example.

 ‘Just lose it’ was a big hit
in the charts. It was a
song made to joke about
the other stars in the
world. Michael Jackson
was one of them. We can
clearly see that Eminem
has humor, because we
can see in the first picture
that is making a joke
about his own movie as
well. That shows us again
that he is a big star and
that he went trough a lot
to make jokes about him
self, he has no shame
and can do what he wants
and ‘disses’ other Stars
which had probably more
success during they’re

hit in the whole world in
2002. In this clip Eminem
wants to show that he has
stalkers and groupies
which shows that he is a
star.

are dressing like him and
trying to have the same
hair then him, even that
people are having a bad
relationship with their
partners because Eminem
replaced them, that all
relates back that he is a
huge star because people
want to be him

clicks on youtube, a
record. Rihanna is a
reason for this success,
because she attracts a
mass audience. Eminem
is represented as a hero
in this clip, alone on this
field he looks like a real
superstar, more then
Rihanna because he has
more camera time then
her, this song is also
more commercial then all
of his other songs.
