Django
1. Django, Pydev, Python and Eclipse
(Easiest Approach)
Step 1: Download Eclipse from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ and Install Eclipse. I install Indigo
Service Release 2.
Step 2: Download Python from http://www.python.org/download/ and Install Python stable version
(like 2.7.3).
Step 3: You can test is python installed. By going command prompt and go till installed folder then
type
Python
Print “Success”
Step 4: Then Open Eclipse go help then select Eclipse marketplace then search Pydev and then install
it.
Step 5: Download Django from https://www.djangoproject.com/download/ and unzip anywhere in
your PC.
Step 6: Then Go to Eclipse -> Preferences then open collapsed submenu PyDev and select Interpreter -
Python then press Auto Config button and press Ok.
Step 7: Then Again Go to "Eclipse -> Preferences then open collapsed submenu PyDev and select
Interpreter – Python then from right side press new folder and add the unzip Django folder and press
OK.
Step 8: Now you can create Django project from Eclipse. For the first project it is better to select
database as sqllite. You can change that any time from changing settings.py file.
Step 9: Just now select project and run. Hopefully you will be successful .output showing in console
