1. men vs. women The difference in how we live , learn and play.
2. The male brain Male brains are larger than female brains Men have approximately 6.5 times more gray matter in the brain than women The frontal lobe which is responsible for problem-solving and decision making is larger in the male brain The parietal cortex which is responsible for space perception is larger in the male brain The amygdala which regulates sexual behavior is larger in the male brain
4. The female brain The female brain have about 10 times more white matter than the male brain The female brain works faster than the male brain The limbic cortex, responsible for regulating emotions is larger in the female brain The female brain has about 12 percent more neurons than the male brain
5.
6. How we use our brain: Men tend to use more of the left side of their brain which is the more logical, systematic side. Women employ both sides of their brain because the female brain can transfer data between the right and left side faster than the male brain Women tend to be more emotional and empathetic than men
7. Hypothesis Men and women’s brains are structured differently. These differences are the foundations that support the reasons women’s brains are more empathetic and the male brain is more hard-wired. From size to subject matter, these differences within our brains affect how male and females learn, live and play.
8. Methods A recent survey was conducted to measure the male and females brains on empathy quotient and systemizing quotient. Eight subjects were interviewed, four boys and four girls The subjects ages were between 25-55 years old Two surveys were issued, one to measure the empathy quotient and one to measure the systemizing quotient. Each survey consisted of 60 statements that the subjects had to answer whether they strongly agree, slightly agree, slightly disagree or strongly disagree
9. The results Women scored much higher on the empathy tests than men Men scored much higher on the systemizing test than women
11. Conclusion In conclusion the male and female brains have been proven to operate in different ways. My research supports the idea that male brains are more hard-wired and better at systemizing data. On the other hand the woman’s brain is more in tune with emotions and empathy based on the subjects studied in the surveys provided.
