        • ITS Standards
              – Adherence to established US/ISO standards
                    • NTCIP standard is a family of communications standards for
transmitting primarily data and messages between
microcomputer control devices used in Intelligent Transportation
                      Systems (ITS).

                    • APTA TCIP standard for transit is an interface standard whose
primary purpose is to define standardized mechanisms for the
exchange of information in the form of data among transit
business systems, subsystems, components, and devices.

                    • ISO Technical Committee 204 on Transit standards is responsible
for the overall system aspects and infrastructure aspects of
intelligent transport systems (ITS), as well as the coordination of
the overall ISO work program in this field including the schedule
for standards development, taking into account the work of
                      existing international standardization bodies.
