Flores de Mayo-history and origin we need to understand
The sight of the blind man
1.
2. He wasn’t healed spiritually until verse 38.
Christ showed us how to witness people
a. A man must see before he can trust.
b. He must realize and admit his lost
condition before he will believe.
c. He must see the grace of God in the
cross before he will come to Christ.
3. Have you noticed the progression of the
man’s insight in verse 11-34?
He was asked “Who healed you?” the
Pharisees said. And he was asked not just
once but three times.
What was his answer?
Let Us consider the responses of this man
who was born blind and was healed by
the Lord.
4. 1. “A man called Jesus” (vs.11)
2. “A prophet” (vs.17)
3. “Of GOD” (vs. 30-33)
5. At first when we were not followers of
Christ, we received God’s Word
And then, as the Holy Spirit and the Word
of God work in us…
… we saw our need of Him and we
conquered by His grace.
6. He gradually realized who Jesus is. Finally
he confessed Him to be “Lord” and
believed (vs.38)
And he did the natural thing –
worshipped his new Lord and Savior.
7.
8. Are we still blind or we just chose to be
blind and ignore our need of Jesus?
Is there any progression in our spiritual
eyesight?
If we claim to be saved but not have
any desire to worship God and to serve
Him, then something is terribly wrong.
