2. OVERVIEW
• A thin mesh of aluminum alloy
• Occupies only 1.1% – 1.7% volume of tank
• Prevents explosions in all flammable gases/liquids
• Reduces emissions between 30% - 80%
• Reduces slosh effect by 80%
• Unequalled level of safety guaranteed

3. 07/01/2007 – Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom
• United Kingdom - A major gas leak at Heathrow Airport forced
hundreds of guests out of a hotel and caused dozens of flights to
be cancelled or diverted.
• Fire crews in breathing apparatus used a machine to dampen the
escaping gas with fine spray of water to keep it from wafting over
Feltham and Hounslow. More than 20 firefighters from Hounslow
worked on the emergency for five hours.
11/12/2005 – Bunefield, United Kingdom
• A series of explosions caused fires that destroyed the Buncefield
fuel depot in Hemel Hempstead, a supplier to Heathrow airport.
• The fire was considered the worst to have occurred in the United
Kingdom and in Europe since the Second World War, and 15
million litres of water, 250,000 litres of foam and 26 fire engines
were required to put out the flames.
4. 20/09/2007 – Durban, South Africa
• The port was closed for a short time after three tanks containing
highly flammable liquids at the Island View Terminal exploded.
• Firefighters battled flames for more than four hours on Tuesday
after an explosion and fire at a chemical storage terminal in the
South African port of Durban.

5. HOW CAN EXESS IMPROVE THIS!
• Floating Roof Installation
• Burnex System (Trucks and Foam)
• Fuel hydrant pit protection
• Petrol tanker installation
• Vaporec reduce fuel loss and carbon foot print
6. FUEL STORAGE OVERIEW
• Fuel storage tank fires and fuel tank farm conflagration are two of
the most serious and costly disasters for fuel companies
• The eXess Safety Floating Roof Solution is the world’s newest,
most advanced and most effective response to fuel tank
explosions and fires
• eXess is the first and only system in the world capable of
extinguishing burning fuel storage tanks in as little as
3 to 6 minutes
7. EXESS’S TWO LEADING FIRE EXTINGISHING SOLUTIONS
• Floating Roof Solution with eXess aluminum mesh explosion
and fire suppression product
• BurnX foam and high speed delivery system
8. FLOATING ROOF SOLUTION
• Properties that allow it to suppress explosion and any
concomitant spontaneous combustion by conducting and
dissipating heat energy
eXess network Rolls
10. BURNEX FOAM AND HIGH DELIVERY SYSTEM
• 5 times lighter than any of its competitors
• 10 times less expensive
• Lasts 2 times longer
• This new, innovative product, can cover an entire Floating Roof,
blocking oxygenation and preventing further feeding of a fire
• Accompanying delivery vehicles
