2. THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CINQUAIN
POEMS
 The traditional version is the one I am doing witch is
based on syllable counts.
 Another way is doing line 1 1 word line 2 2 words and so
on and so forth but the last line witch is the 5th line has 1
word

3. A DIFFERENT KIND OF POEM
 The other last way is the modern way witch uses
line 1 - one word (noun) a title or name of the
subject line 2 - two words (adjectives) describing
the title line 3 - three words (verbs) describing an
action related to the title line 4 - four words
describing a feeling about the titlem, a complete
sentence line 5 - one word referring back to the title
of the poem

4. MY REASON
 The reason I choose to do syllable count is
because I checked a total of five sites and 3 out of
the 5 said the way to do Cinquain poems is to do
the syllable count. The other ones said to do the
modern version witch I just explained.

5. RULES FOR A CINQUAIN POEM
 Line 1- 2 syllables
 Line 2- 4 syllables
 Line 3- 6 syllables
 Line 4- 8 syllables
 Line 5- 2 syllables

6. EXAMPLE POEMS
 They won!
 players,
 Proud and joyful
 take a well deserved rest.
 Dedication and sacrifice
 Paid off.
 Baseball

 Bat cracks against
 The pitch, sending it out
 Over the back fence, I did it!
 Homerun
