ESA has experience with international
cooperation
• between the governments of 19 member
states
• with their delegate bodies
• with governments of 4 European
cooperation states
• with an industry spread across Europe
• with employees from all member states
• at 14 locations in 8 European countries

The European Space Agency
• cooperates on a number of projects with other space faring nations
• maintains offices and stations outside Europe
• participates in important international forums and conferences (e.g. “Masters
with Masters”)

4. Activities of the IPMC
• “Organise specialized symposia that discuss topics of
interest to the program/project management community
and are held either on the margins of regularly scheduled
IAF meetings or on separate occasions.
• Disseminate information on programme/project
management activities of mutual interest to IAF member
organizations and other interested groups using the IAF’s
web site and other means as appropriate.
• Cooperate with other organisations interested in the
enhancement of space project/programme management
practices.
• Identify and, subject to the prior approval of the IAF,
implement projects – including but not limited to studies,
the preparation of documents, etc. – that contribute to
improved appreciation and pursue of space
project/program management at the global level.”
