He joined Copyright Clearance Center in 2003 and is responsible for the development and management of CCC's pay-per use and annual licensing services for academic institutions as well as CCC’s newest product, Get It Now. Mr. Bowen has over 20 years of product management, product marketing, and channels marketing experience. Franny is a lawyer in the US and Canada, and litigated digital rights and Internet questions in the entertainment, media and communications industries. Her work included creating national copyright royalty tariffs before specialty copyright courts, and litigating decision appeals to higher courts. Franny clerked for the Copyright Board of Canada in copyright collective certification proceedings and orphan works applications, and consulted for the Board on research issues, policy initiatives and administration of copyright collecting societies.
