- Who we are
- We ALWAYS feel like the time is right for innovation, and couldn’t feel more positive about that now. A panel at our Nov conference responded to the question, Is now the time for accessibility with the economic downturn and financial crisis? Panelists responded YES! This IS the time. There are solid plans for accessible technologies, ensuring all students are learning – especially in STEM areas, and money for innovation in the Dept of Education.The Issue Paper recommends five key action items for the field of learning and assistive technology developers, researchers, and educators:
- We have a lot going on, and almost all of it is communicated through our web site and our biweekly newsletter, QuickClicks.

We conduct interviews w innovators, entrepreneurs, and designers who are working in the disability market, trying to keep abreast of developments as well as celebrate all the good work going on.Larry Goldberg was a featured Innovator on NCTI a year or so ago

- Sponsoring a competition is one of the ways we put our $ where our agenda is. We sponsor up to five awards each year of $15,000 which must be matched by the proposal team. In this way, we encourage collaboration between researchers and vendors. This is the fourth year of the competition and it has been a great success for us to promote research, get research findings out to the field quickly, and to understand how collaboration can work between researchers and vendors and settings such as schools and clinics.
