trays, at rest stops, parks and the Bridge.
•The Water Safety Board meets monthly all year
long.
•They held the first ever Great Lakes Rip current
conference was held.
•The Marquette NWS include rip current hazard
risks in the Hazardous Weather Outlook on TV
and radio with rip current and Surf Zone forecasts
•The model is being replicated throughout the
Great Lakes region.
3. They now have 10 stations along a 12 mile
stretch: phones, equipment, boat patrols.
