Job Summary:
America's Logistics Combat Support Agency
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agency. DLA provides worldwide logistics support
for the missions of the Military Departments and the Unified Combatant Commands under conditions of peace and war. It also
provides logistics support to other DoD Components and certain Federal agencies, foreign governments, international
organizations, and others as authorized.

Major Duties:
DUTIES: As a Supply Technician, GS-2005-07, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Expedites the procurement, receipt, and delivery of material and provides current status and delivery information on
all shipyard material requirements.
Reviews Material Management Information Reports for ships or shops to determine delivery dates and actions
required to ensure delivery to end user to meet scheduled production dates.
Researches and analyzes Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and all sources of supply worldwide procurement histories
in order to determine material availability, stock, stock levels, acquisition advice, weapon codes, restrictions, etc.
Contacts both internal and external customers to plan, coordinate, resolve problems, or advise on the expeditious
receipt of material at NNSY and the issue of material to end user.
Qualifications:
To qualify for a Supply Technician, your qualifications must include:
Specialized Experience: To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent
to the GS-06 level. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and
abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.

Conducting physical inventories and location surveys
Experience coordinating requirements with users, seeking assistance in identifying and locating required items,
resolving user problems associated with obtaining and maintaining materiel, and preparing written analyses of
activities and problems with recommendations for solution for high level supply management.
Investigating stock/record/material discrepancies impacting inventory balances
Preparing reports concerning results of investigations performed
