Nomination Letter Hensley

1. It is with great pleasure that I nominate Mr. Shayne Hensley as Navy Civilian Photographer of the
Year. Shayne is a GS-11 S & T photographer working in the Shipyard Instructional Design
Center which is located in Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. The Shipyard Instructional
Design Center is a full-service audiovisual production facility that serves the Naval Sea Systems
Command and our four public naval shipyards.
The Shipyard Instructional Design Center is dedicated to providing high-quality products,
exception customer care and professional service. Shayne excels in all three areas. No matter the
situation – on location or in the studio, inanimate objects or people – Shayne is equally adept. His
customer service comments are “through the roof” and customers frequently request him by
name.
Shayne is a pleasure to work with and is always the consummate professional. He exemplifies the
