1. Israel Announces Work Permit for Short Term Employment
(Bristol, UK) - As per a recent informal announcement made by the Israel Work Permit Unit, experts and
managers from countries that have signed an agreement with Israel are now allowed to work in Israel
for up to 30 days on a B/2 Business Visa, reports Nair & Co. a provider of global HR services for

Under this new regulation, experts and managers maybe issued a B/2 Business Visa for short term
assignments in Israel. Previously, the only option to obtain a work visa was to complete the time
consuming and extensive process to obtain a B/1 Work Visa which is valid for one year.
This update may be of great value to companies with operations in Israel and in need of employing
foreign experts and managers for short-term consultative assignments.
Additional factors to note:
1. This update comes from an informal announcement and stands the possibility of being revised
or revoked at any time.
2. B/2 Tourist/Business Visas obtained for the purpose of short term work assignments will be
provided at the airport and include a comment permitting work from Ministry of Interior
systems.
3. Applications:
1. are currently being accepted, and
2. may take 1-7 days for processing.
This short term option offers an expedited process for employment of foreign experts and may provide
great relief for international companies seeking employees for special projects, intra-company transfers
