Ohio State University ExtensionOhio State University Extension
provides a critical mission in addition to the
work provided by Ohio Universities in
teaching and research. Extension means
“reaching out” and OSU Extension extends
its resources, solving public needs with
university-based intellectual capital through a
myriad of activities. Ohio State University
Extension has a substantial track record in
contributing to Ohio’s overall quality of life
and positively impacting the economy of the
state. As knowledge and intellectual capacity
become the foremost drivers of modern
economies, it is likely that university
extension activities will grow in their central
importance to economic progress. (from
Battelle’s report of Ohio State University
Extension, January, 2005)
Nancy has provided service to counties in the

2. Solving People Problems in the WorkplaceSolving People Problems in the Workplace
Ohio State University Extension has resources you need to build employee skills to
solve people problems. Greater skills mean more focus on the job at hand.
Myers Briggs Type IndicatorMyers Briggs Type Indicator
Your staff can move forward in meet-
ings faster with an understanding of
personality types. Sales types operate
differently from technical types. Help-
ing the groups understand their differ-
ences means more work gets accom-
plished while bridging the gap across
segments of your workforce. This can
be step one in conflict resolution. A
more in depth look at Introversion
and Extroversion can encourage
your Extroverts to listen to Introverts
and introverts to be patient with
extroverted staff members.
Board TrainingBoard Training
For Board Members, Chairs and
Executive Directors. What is a
board issue and what is a staff
issue? How can an executive
director avoid board members
micromanaging while still gaining
cooperation in macromanaging?
Board training encourages board
members and executive directors
to manage their work to maximize
effectiveness while reducing
frustration.
Building Dynamic GroupsBuilding Dynamic Groups

relationships and encourages higher
level functioning of the entire group.
These materials help your work

your clients? Trained facilitators
