1. HOW DID YOU USE
MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES
IN THE CONSTRUCTION
AND RESEARCH,
PLANNING AND
EVALUATION STAGES?
2. To help us with our
project and research
we have used a
variety of different
technologies which
could help us be
creative with our
work but also inspire
us to be creative.
3. YouTube.
As we were producing a music video it was really
important for us to get inspired by indie artists such as
Florence and the Machine. YouTube was a really helpful
site as it helped us challenge the stereotypical artists and
be unique by focusing on their location, costume,
storylines and performance throughout their videos.
4. Blogger.
Blogger played a really big part for our project. We would you
this site to regularly post anything we have managed to do
relating to our work, blogger became a dairy which we had to
keep checking back and make sure it is up to date for example if
we had a group meeting we would simply say what we would
like to achieve, modify or what inspired us. We could also use it
as a communication site with group members looking at our
latest post.
5. Panasonis HS900 was the camera we used to
record for our music video. The fact that it
was HD helped make scenes clearer also by
managing the sitting we were able to focus
on the character and blur the entourage out.
For our photoshoot we used Nikon Coolpix
1120. The pictures were high quality
because we wanted it to appear really
professional also made it easier later on to
edit
Instead of using our hands and trying to
avoid any camera drops we used a tripod
for majority of the scenes which made
everything simple as we were able to help
out actress with her costumer, make up and
performance.
6. To edit our music video we used Final
Cut Pro. This program facilitated things
such as cropping an unwanted scene,
also we used colour correction
throughout the clip along with black and
white effects, 2 scenes faded on top of
each other. Making our music video is
what Final Cut Pro did and developed
our creativity skills.

7. Photoshop
From adding contrast to adding a sepia effect to our image, Photoshop was the only
editing program we have used. With photoshop everything looked professional for
our print product and was really easy to make our vision of what we wanted to be
exactly how we wanted it to be. Adding text to our images and modifying the layers
was what had to be done for it to work well with our theme and similar to our genre.
