1. Hi my name is Neven Zeremski and my startup is Dubb. Dubb is the simplest way to discover and connect with your network.
2. So I am sure you guys are wondering, what are you solving, and what is the problem now!
3. The problem is that the phone number is no longer just a phone number. Rather it has become the new user ID or user name. Most new apps from Snapchat to WhatsApp depend on mobile phone numbers to connect us. Even facebooks new messangers uses mobile numbers to facilitate chat!
4. But getting peoples contact info and mobile numbers is a pain in the ass. Usually the process goes something like this, I need Jane’s phone number. First I have to call a few people to see if they have Jane’s number. When I finally figure out that John has her number, the process usually goes something like this, “hey john can you send me janes number” like, “ok, why do you need jane’s number?” Well I need it for business, “well what business are you working on” and etc, and then I have to remind john 3 or 4 times to finally send me her number.
5. And finally we cant stop people from changing jobs or moving! Keeping track of contacts or ensuring that they are up to date is complicating and time consuming.

7. We use the power of the crowd to help you discover and access contacts while keeping current ones up to date and relevant. We do this by aggregating your friend’s addressbooks into one master list. Essentially if I have contact A an B and John has C and D, and we become friends on the app, my master list would have A B C an D. This is how It works…

10. Since this a a design conference, I feel it is important to quickly talk about our design methodology. Our core driver behind Dubb was to make it simple and easy to use. Our mantra was, “path of least resistance”. We recognized that fact that if it took a user an extra second to use dubb rather than their default address book it would not be of use to them. Therefore dubb was created to offer a path of least resistance to its users to discover, and connect. Instead of adding features we took them out, focusing on a simple and clean user interface.
