1.     Create a Google+ Profile
          Remember to upload a high quality headshot and fill out
           profile information
2.     Go to plus.google.com/authorship, sign up with your email and
       click on the verification link
3.     Add link to the publication in “contributor to “ section of your
       Google+ profile
4.     Add link to Google+ profile on the articles landing page
             Two options:
         1.     Use rel=author tag from your content that points to your Google+ profile, OR
         2.     Use rel=author from content to the about page then rel=me from about page to
                Google+
5.       Test: Google rich snippet tool

  1. Google+ (pronounced and sometimes written as Google Plus, sometimes abbreviated as G+) is a multilingual social networking and identity service[3][4] owned and operated by Google Inc. It was launched on June 28, 2011.[5] As of December 2012, it has a total of 500 million registered users of whom 235 million are active on a monthly basis.[1] Unlike other conventional social networks which are generally accessed through a single website, Google has described Google+ as a "social layer" consisting of not just a single site, but rather an overarching "layer" which covers many of its online properties.[6]
