  3. The idea for OpenCourseWare came out of the Massachusetts institute for Technology (MIT), where a faculty committee that was charged in the year 200 by then-president Charles Vest with answering two questions:

If your university has a thematic mission, you might consider starting with courses that emphasize that theme.
