5. GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS CTP BORDIGA – BORDIGA 3 NAPOLI Some thoughts. The articles were not distributed uniformly within the period examined. The range is from 6 to 100 articles per month, and the intensity of interest for the subject varies, therefore, more time on the long term. Two topics attracted interest: - Debate on various reforms of immigration law and possible amnesties (multiannual recurring); - Landings of illegal immigrants (seasonal cycles - every summer).
6. GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS CTP BORDIGA – BORDIGA 3 NAPOLI Politics on immigration and possible amnesties are the heart of public representation because the discussions arising from them are almost always internal to the majority in that time rules the country. Crime has never been the leitmotif (recurring theme), it has always followed the content of "political" clash noted above. Really, immigration is a theme that has entered the public speech through the rhetoric vision of the parties, especially those - such as the Lega Nord* - frankly xenophobic. * Party of the northern Italy The emergency are immigrants The rule are racism and idiocy
7. GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS CTP BORDIGA – BORDIGA 3 NAPOLI Comparing to, for example, how the American press has addressed the U.S. amnesty of 1986, the result is evident. The investigations and reconstructions of individual stories, with photos and interviews to people requiring to rectify their position, represented the core of the media. We tested the information model using an article printed in "La Repubblica" on 22 March 2010. While reading a story dealing with the adventures of a Nigerian woman trying to reach Italy - some people experienced an emotional stress that compelled to interrupt the narrative. From the discussion we realized that this approach would allow information to each of us to discuss it with other critical skills.
8. GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS CTP BORDIGA – BORDIGA 3 NAPOLI Indeed … The investigative research on young Italian people has proved really disturbing … The Italian youth universe, the report says, is divided into two distinct areas:
9. GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS CTP BORDIGA – BORDIGA 3 NAPOLI CLOSURES AND PHOBIAS . The group tending to be phobic and xenophobic is of 45.8 per cent, with various shades inside. The study indicates three agglomerations. The first is that of "Rom and Albanian phobic”, 15.3 per cent of the total interviews. It expresses its intolerance towards these people and is the only group in which the majority (56%) are women. Then there are the “pure xenophobic" (19.8%): this group does not express forms of violent hate, the essential thing is that the other ethnicities are distant, possibly outside Italy. The third group includes people with significant racism. It is the lowest because it represents 10.7 per cent of young people, but it is the most extreme since it refuses and expresses displeasure against non-European people.
10. GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS CTP BORDIGA – BORDIGA 3 NAPOLI OPENINGS and TOLERANCES . The number of those who have an open minded attitude is 39.6 %. Inside this group you will recognize the "inclusive" (19.4%) with a total opening minded attitude (55.3%); the "tolerant" (14.7 per cent), a bit colder than the previous and the “light open minded” (5.5%), namely anti-racist young and having less interaction with other ethnic groups and a smaller recognition of homosexual love. In the central part the survey places the "mixofobic" (14.5%), young people who are not entirely projected towards the closure, but not even to its opposite, and living a feeling of trouble towards what is away from their identity. The football is the heritage of one race, the human race
11. GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS CTP BORDIGA – BORDIGA 3 NAPOLI IDENTIKIT OF THE YOUNG RACIST. The most extreme profile of racism among young people, as well as emerging from the survey presented to the Parliament, describes a person who exhibits superiority and persistent need of power. They have an anti-Semitic-homophobic deep conviction of women's inferiority and accept no racial or ethnic group different from their own. A profile that concerns 10.7 per cent of young people, but extremely worrying. The research defines this type as restricted to the "savage racism".
12. GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS CTP BORDIGA – BORDIGA 3 NAPOLI A CLAN THAT EXPANDS ONLINE. This clan, according to the research, stands not only for the extreme intensity of its positions, but also for its ability to produce a real way of being in the society, as a closed and restricted community. This is an agglomeration that develops a strong sense of belonging and that found in the network the scope of expression and recognition and its proper megaphone. This clan has, though still not uniformly and unified, its own strategy to create new fans, to develop and grow its adepts.
13. GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS CTP BORDIGA – BORDIGA 3 NAPOLI I live there From the other side I come here For a job But it is there That I live It is there I cry And I beg I am here I go there I go away … From “There” by Toinho (Brasilian poet) I am here I must go … now I go away Here and there Timeless I am there, I suffer here But, I must go … Elsewhere … now
