of surgery & post-operative management
of care.

maintain visibility of the surgical site,

This refers to the person responsible
for the inducing anesthesia,
maintaining anesthesia at the required
levels, and managing untoward
reactions to anesthesia throughout the
surgical procedure.
Following the principles of
aseptic technique, they keep the
sterile team supplied.

* The circulator plays a role that is vital to
the smooth flow of events before, during,
and after the surgical procedure.
* The circulator’s role as a patient advocate
and protector is critical to the safety and
welfare of the patient and extends
throughout the entire pre-operative
environment.
