- Overview – New Products Autumn 2011: Over 100 new products, numerous new parts have been developed In autumn 2011, we are presenting new products in two categories to existing and prospective customers. The first catalogue covers new products in the following product groups: 1. MB Building Kit System Line 8, Line 10 and new products in Line D30 The second catalogue is a reissue and extension of the comprehensive work bench systems catalogue. In addition to all the familiar products in the work bench system it will also contain the new products for 04/2011 and all the work bench components previously listed in Chapter 7 of the MB catalogue. The latest new products are integrated into the comprehensive catalogue. The most important new product for autumn 2011 are the SystemMobiles. And we will be looking at the complex system behind these versatile and flexible products today. Corresponding configuration software will also be available shortly.

- MB Building Kit System – Line 8 Profile KH 8 40x40 Standard-Fastening Set KH8, Button-Head Screw KH 8x55, TX 30 Angle Bracket Set 8 PA The metal-free alternative in the item MB Building Kit System. An innovative, high-strength material that is particularly easy to process. Profile KH 8 40x40 is made from environmentally friendly material (more than 70% wood fibre) and has exactly the same design as the equivalent item aluminium profile. As a result, it is fully compatible with all attachments and can also be combined with other building kit system elements. The Profile 8 groove can accommodate all fastening elements and enables users to insert panels directly into profile frames. Applications: - When a construction has to be lightweight (1.06 kg/m) - When electrical insulation is a requirement e.g. separating machinery from its protective enclosure EMC measurements: The profile is also ideal for use with laboratory equipment for EMC measurements (interference resistance tests) and when building shelving, table frames, guards and enclosures in similar areas. Particularly low-cost solution from the building kit system, e.g. for private applications. - Not ESD-safe – but full electrical isolation! (approx. 1 €/m cheaper than Profile 8 40x40 E )
- Profile KH 8 40x40 "Innovation in wood and plastic" "Lightweight and strong" "Electrically insulating" A top-quality innovative material. The combination of thermoplastic (polypropylene) and renewable raw materials offers the best of both worlds. Solid-coloured in elegant anthracite grey with a smooth plastic outer surface. Moisture resistant, dimensionally stable and strong – the ideal basis for lightweight applications. Thanks to ease of processing (the material is cut and drilled like conventional wood) and special, adapted fastening elements, no special machines or tools are needed when working with the new profiles. The material used in Profile KH 8 comprises carefully selected woods with low water absorption that are sourced from sustainably managed forests . It carries the PEFC label. Around 2/3 of woodland in Germany is certified by the PEFC. The profile is manufactured using an extrusion process similar to that used to produce aluminium profiles. Processing: - Similar to aluminium - Disposal of chips/shavings needs to be clarified Competitors: MK (Maschinenbau Kits) has been offering a similar profile since 2004. The water absorption and swelling of this profile are higher than in the case of the item KH profile. The surface was wood-coloured and open structured (for different colouring). The emphasis is more on the natural character of the profile material than for the technical application.

Using the Angle Bracket ensures constructions can be easily adjusted and reconfigured, as it does not need to be permanently fixed in one place. Because Angle Brackets reinforce fastening points, they are particularly useful in applications that are likely to involve bending loads. Angle Bracket Sets 8 PA (glass-fibre reinforced polyamide) include all the necessary fastening materials for joining two Profiles. The anti-torsion features can be broken off. (not quite as easily as with Angle Bracket Zn.) Price: 40x40 € 2.79 (orders over 10 pcs.) 80x80 € 4.79 (orders over 10 pcs.) Tip: Low-cost alternative to Angle Bracket Zn – for simple applications such as fastening cable conduits.
- Elements from Line 8 are compatible Applications: Profiles KH 8 (and Tubes KH D30) are ideal for use with equipment for measuring electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): i.e.: No electrical devices should inadvertently emit electromagnetic radiation. Similarly, electromagnetic radiation such as radio waves, sparking in switches, etc. must not cause electrical devices to malfunction. All test laboratories that perform measurements such as these need frames that do not interfere with the electromagnetic waves being measured. A Faraday cage must not be created. The metallic fasteners can usually be ignored. However, the shorter the screws, the better – recommendation for Profile KH 8: Use Angle Bracket Sets PA. It has not yet been possible to achieve sufficient stability with entirely non-metallic fasteners.
