Open Data Conference - Mike Thacker - State of Play

Mike is a director of Porism Limited which is a partner in the Opening Up Project and the technical partner to the UK local government esd-toolkit. He is architect of esd-toolkit’s Local Government Business Model against which information is referenced and shared between local authorities. Mike facilitates esd-toolkit work group meetings on standards. In his presentation, Mike summarises the status of publishing public sector Open Data with particular emphasis on the UK. He introduces Linked Data and describes core reference data that is key to joining up datasets. Read less
