The Jerusalem Fund is a non-profit organization that independently does educational/humanitarian work on behalf of Palestinians The Humanitarian Link program  The Jerusalem Fund Gallery and Cultural Program  The Palestine Center  ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],To implement its missions, The Jerusalem Fund maintains 3 programs Based in Washington DC Working on behalf of Palestinians Particularly those in the  West Bank, Gaza Strip and surrounding  refugee camps
Currently, the Palestinian scene suffers from high diabetes rate, lack of resources  (physical, human and financial),  and difficulty of access The Issues/ Challenges ,[object Object],[object Object],Military Closures and Resource Shortages restrict ability to respond to Diabetes Delayed treatment has Side Effects Shortages in Specialized Care ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],fatal strokes; kidney failure Description The Issues/ Challenges
In response, the Jerusalem Fund developed the Palestine Diabetes Institute to try to mitigate/address some of these challenges Diabetic Foot Care and Orthotics Vascular Lab Retinopathy Screening and Management Dietary and Fitness Counseling Pharmacy Research Clinical Care Patient and Community Education Health Care Provider Education Electronic Medical  Records Basic Lab Work Patients treated by only Palestinian Diabetic Physician Specialists on staff in the West Bank 1 2 3 4 5 6 The Role/ Current Services The Palestinian Diabetes Institute 1 2 3 4 5 6 Future Growth Plans
As part of reaching the largest number of Palestinians, the institute is planning on expanding within the occupied territories Gaza Nabulus Hebron Ramallah

The Dubai Fundraising Event will be held on Tuesday 2 nd  of March at Florian, DIFC Gate Village 6  19.00 A Cocktail Reception with Entertainment  20.00 Gourmet Dinner 20.30 Presentation by Jerusalem Fund 21.30 Poetry reading by Walid Kanafani 22.30 Charity Auction 22.15 Entertainment 20.00 21.00 21.15 21.30 22.00 One of the oldest coffee houses in Italy. Caffè Florian first opened its doors in St Mark's Square, Venice in 1720 and was earlier named as 'Alla Venezia Trionfante' by its owner Floriano Francesconi, the clientele soon took to calling it simply 'Florian' When Entertainment Attire  Tuesday 2 nd  of March 2010 Salha and The Million Dollar Band (cabaret) Wear your favorite mask as the event promises a true Italian carnival spirit.
