5. Adding Video to your Blog & Facebook is both an inexpensive and engaging way to create TARGETED traffic for your real estate business! The evolution of Online Marketing has seen many changes. From simple static websites to blogging and social media forums. But professional sales have always revolved around one basic concept...getting B2B or ‘belly-to-belly’ with consumers! Now we are entering the next phase of Online Marketing that will get you closer to your customers than ever before...VIDEO! In this 4 CE Clock Hour Class, we will show you how fun and easy producing, publishing & posting a Video can be! Many agents are challenged with all the ‘techy’ details about social media but they are not that difficult to master. As in previous classes, we will address the technical issues of adding videos to your blogs or Facebook. Videos are a great way to market yourself or your listings and provide a method for the consumer to be ‘right there’ with you as you stroll through a property or explain details about the real estate market.
6. Before you dive into the technical part of videos let’s review the essentials you need to be aware of that will keep you out of trouble with the Department of Licensing and other entities (like courtrooms!). The DOL requires that real estate agents inform the public who they are working for by having the Firm’s name easily recognizable on anything they publish. When producing a video you should identify which company you represent as part of your introduction in the first 15-30 seconds. And remember, you must use your Firm’s licensed name and not just your team name unless you have taken the extra step to have a separate license for your team. That license comes from the Department of Licensing Real Estate Division, requires written permission from your Designated Broker and has a $200 fee. Keep ethics in mind while doing your videos. Bashing other agents never makes YOU look good! Stick to marketing your property and pointing out the its great features, or, if promoting yourself, focus on the benefits such as skill and knowledge that you offer the potential client. Always remember, most of what you post on the internet is highly likely to be there a long, long time and that includes your videos!
7. Another area of law to pay attention to is Fair Housing. It would be advisable to have a prepared script so you don’t try to market towards, or away from, any particular group of folks. For example, don’t use the words ’exclusive neighborhood’. It immediately brings up the question of who is being excluded. Don’t plagiarize or violate copyright laws. If you are promoting yourself and using information from other sources then credit the other sources. There is nothing negative about making statements such as, “The New York Times stated in today’s real estate section……” Using information from other sources can help establish your credibility and knowledge, however, be sure and let ‘you’ come through as that is what people want to see. Now let’s get going on making videos!!
37. Here’s how it’s made At this point, I can add a title, any captions I want and even credits. I may also want to add some movie themes and even some music!
49. Copy and Paste this code directly onto your Blog like this!
