Why go to a chiropractor if i don’t have back pain
1. Why go to a Chiropractor if I don’t have
back pain?
This is a question I often gets asked in my Peoria Chiropractic office. Why would anyone go to
a chiropractor if they didn't have pain? Chiropractors only treat aches, pains, and
injuries...right? Not exactly. While as a Chiropractor I treat people with musculoskeletal aches
and pains every day, Chiropractic adjustments actually have much deeper overall health
implications than just treating aches and pains. When joints of the spine get misaligned it causes
a couple of different things to go on. First, this can pinch on nerve. Pinching a nerve is a
problem because it causes pain, but more importantly because that nerve supplies something in
our body. It is the main communication line from our brain and spinal cord (central nervous
system) to EVERY cell, tissue, and organ in our body. If this communication is compromised
the body is prone to health problems. It's very difficult to know when a joint is misaligned as
many times the nerve that is irritated may not cause pain. As a Peoria Chiropractor I am trained
to find these misalignments and correct them. Correcting misalignements of the spine allows the
body to have full communication between the body and the central nervous system. With no
interference between the body and the central nervous system the body is in great shape to run to
100% potential. This can mean felling 100%, ability to fight off common bugs that are going
around because your Immune system is running at top shape, and the ability to make sure
degenerative problems are not developing because of proper biomechanics. WHEN THE
NERVOUS SYSTEM IS HEALTHY.....THE BODY IS HEALTHY. Here is a cool study
showing the benefits of getting adjusted regularly even when you are not in pain.
