The ten teddy bears are students who have just finished studying and are going on a gap year of travel around the world. They will document their travels on social media and a blog to track where they go. The teddies need sponsors to fund their flights, accommodations, meals and visas. Donations will also help set up digital kiosks in South African schools.

The ten teddies are students who have just
studying and are all going on a Gap Year.
Each teddy will have the following:
Information pack and instruction booklet
Passport to collect immigration stamps
Facebook Page and Twitter Account
YouTube Channel to share videos
Profile page on Teddy Travels Blog
Google map with geo-tagged pictures & video to track travels
5. Pass-it-Forward
✤ The teddies will depart August /
September 2012
✤ They will travel with chaperones
✤ People will host the teddy for a
min of 48 hours and then pass it
onto someone else traveling to a
new destination
✤ The teddies will accept invitations
from the rich and famous,
politicians, movies & TV stars,
musicians and other Alumni
around the world!
6. Pass-it-Forward
✤ Host uploads pictures and stories
about their time together. Videos
are uploaded to YouTube and they
follow their teddy via Twitter and
the Teddy Travel blog
✤ They make a donation towards
placing an OGLE Kiosk in a school
in South Africa and encourage
others to do the same
✤ The teddies will return to South
Africa on Mandela Day 18 July

broke after finishing their studies so need

The teddies are sponsored by Build-A-Bear Workshop®
Additional sponsors will dress & accessorise the
teddies at a Build-A-Bear Workshop® store
Companies, Alumni Associations and individuals are
encouraged to fully or part sponsor a teddy for their
year away
Sponsorship and donations will be used to set up and
manage the Teddy Travels blog and social media
platforms for the year. Additional funds will be used
to place OGLE Kiosks in schools.
