This document discusses a case study of a small open online course (SOOC) on observing and analyzing performance in sport. The course explored the possibilities of open educational resources and platforms to connect and share information. It used a connectivist approach and the OpenLearning platform to facilitate online discussions. The paper concludes that an open educational model can transform how the field of computer science in sport is studied and practiced globally by making course materials freely accessible online.
