The parts of the opening which involved the civilian
speaking about the outbreak was unscripted and the
actor had to improvise.
Ext. – Steetley – Day
E.L.S - An unknown male is running away from something off set.
Ext. – Steetley – Day
E.L.S/wide angle – Unknown male still running with a zombie behind,
now in set.
Ext. – Steetley – Day
O.T.S – To show the panic on the Civilian’s face and to show the
Zombie.
Ext. – Steetley – Day
E.L.S – Fade in/Fade out – Add the sound of a heartbeat over this – As
Civilian runs from the zombie, each time it fades out more zombies
appear.
Ext. – Steetley – Day
C.U – Zoom out to E.L.S – Civilian trips over.
Ext. – Steetley – Day
C.U - Cut to the floor, Civilians head falls to the floor.
Ext. – Steetley– Day
E.C.U – Civilians head laid on the floor, blood dripping from a wound.
Suddenly their eyes open to the sound of a scream. Cue title.
