FROM LINATE AIRPORT. Exit airport - Follow signs for Milan onto
four landed wide avenue, keep on right - Exit for Vimercate/Lecco/
Venezia/Tangenziale Est - Follow highway for approximately 15 mins - at
road toll follow signs for Lecco - Continue straight following
main road in direction Lecco - Do not cross bridges into Lecco -
At roundabout take second exit for Bellagio - Follow lakeside road for 21
kms to Bellagio (lake will be on your right hand side).
FROM BERGAMO ORIO AL SERIO AIRPORT. Leave the airport.
Follow signs for AUTOSTRADA - MILANO - LECCO on the right. Keep
driving direction LECCO on a two-lane road for 23 km. At the end of the
two - lane road follow signs for LECCO. At the roundabout located after
the rail crossing take first exit - After 6 km at the roundabout take the
second exit, crossing the bridge direction OLGINATE. Keep driving on the
main road to LECCO. Don’t cross any bridges towards the town of Lecco.
At the large roundabout, take the second on your right and follow the road
along the lake for 21 km to Bellagio (lake will be on your right hand side).

Geografia - Bellagio è situata all’estrema punta di quella regione che divide il
lago di Como in due biforcazioni. Il centro turistico occupa la parte estrema
del promontorio, mentre le numerose frazioni sono disseminate sia lungo le
rive del lago che sulle pendici collinari.
Vegetazione - Di tipo subalpino, alpino e mediterraneo. Sulle rive crescono
cipressi e pini; sui declivi soleggiati la vite e l’olivo; sui monti castagni, faggi,
noci e conifere. Il calendario delle fioriture comprende: narcisi e mughetti a
marzo; eccezionali e coloratissime azalee, rododendri e camelie in aprile e
maggio; rose, oleandri ed ortensie decorano Bellagio da giugno a settembre;
profumatissime olea fragrans ed osmatus a settembre. Da segnalare l’incante-
vole e varia tavolozza di colori autunnali nei giardini e nei parchi di Bellagio
alla fine di settembre e in ottobre.
Clima - Tanto rigoglio di piante e di fiori è favorito da un clima temperato e
dolce. La temperatura media invernale non scende sotto i 6-7 gradi centigradi,
mentre d’estate si aggira intorno ai 25-30 gradi, mitigata nel pomeriggio dalla
“breva”, leggera brezza caratteristica del lago di Como.
Cenni storici - Già abitata in tempi preistorici fu luogo di residenza estiva di
patrizi romani e, in seguito, delle famiglie nobili lombarde che vi edificarono
stupende ville. Affascinò, nel passato, poeti e scrittori di tutto il mondo, da
Plinio il giovane a Taine, Longfellow, Twain, Shelley, Stendhal, Flaubert, Faure
ed artisti quali Giordano, Toscanini e Franz Liszt.
Gastronomia - La cucina locale è ricca di piatti tipici del lago e lombardi: il riso
con i filetti di pesce persico, il lavarello, le alborelle “in carpione”, gli agoni essi-
cati “misultitt”, le trote, la polenta, la bresaola e, tra i dolci, il pan “Mataloc”.
Artigianato e prodotto locali - La zona del comasco è rinomata per la produzio-
ne di bellissime sete di antica tradizione. L’artigianato locale offre: legno d’olivo
intagliato, vetro soffiato e decorato, pelli e calzature lavorate a mano.
Shopping - Nei numerosi negozi si possono trovare, oltre agli articoli di arti-
gianato, gioielli, abbigliamento ed accessori, articoli da regalo, oggetti d’arte e
d’antiquariato, porcellane e ceramiche, bigiotterie e souvenirs.
Manifestazioni e spettacoli - A Bellagio vengono organizzate rassegne musi-
cali, coristiche, strumentali e bandistiche, all’aperto e nelle suggestive chiese;
folkloristiche feste patronali nelle serate estive e quotidiani intrattenimenti mu-
sicali nei numerosi locali.
VILLE, GIARDINI E MUSEI
Villa Serbelloni - Superbo panorama dai giardini ottocenteschi dei rami del lago
di Como e di Lecco. Dalla fortificazione sul promontorio vista del ramo nord del
lago e delle Prealpi. Il parco della Villa Serbelloni è aperto al pubblico solo con
visite guidate per un minimo di 6 persone ed un massimo di 30 della durata di
ca. 1.h30 con partenza alle 11.00 ed alle 15.30 dalla Torre medioevale sita nella
Piazza della Chiesa di S. Giacomo nella parte alta del centro del paese. Per i
gruppi è obbligatoria la prenotazione. Aperto da metà Marzo a metà Novembre

Villa Melzi d’Eril - Magnifica nella sua architettura, costruita nel 1808 per il
Duca Francesco Melzi d’Eril, coadiutore di Napoleone. La visita comprende la
cappella, il piccolo museo ed il parco dove stupendi gruppi di azalee e rodo-
dendri si alternano con magnifiche statue. Attuale proprietario è il Conte Gal-
larati Scotti. Aperta tutti i giorni dalle 9.30 alle 18.30 da fine Marzo ad inizio

Museo degli Strumenti per la Navigazione - Tra gli strumenti più interessanti
di questa collezione privata troviamo cannocchiali settecenteschi di fattura ve-
neziana, bussole, orologi solari di varie epoche, una ricca serie di cronometri
di marina, una sfera armillare ed uno stupendo planetario in ottone. Il Museo si
trova nella frazione di San Giovanni in Piazza don Miotti, a circa 25 minuti a

CHIESE E BASILICHE
Basilica di San Giacomo (Frazione Borgo). Stupendo esempio dell’arte
Romanico-Lombarda (XII sec.) costruita tra il 1075 e il 1125 dai Maestri
Comacini. All’interno mosaici del primo '900, ricco altare della fine del '500, la
“Deposizione di Cristo” ad opera della scuola del Perugino, il Crocefisso arcaico
del XII sec., il trittico del Foppa (1432), il “Cristo deposto” statua in legno poli-

1120. All’interno si può ammirare la statua della Madonna della Cintura.
Dal 1658 l'annesso oratorio è sede della confraternita dei Cinturati.

San Giovanni Battista (Frazione San Giovanni). Costruzione Barocca (XVII
sec.) a navata unica con altare in legno del '600. All’interno la “Madonna delle
Grazie” affresco di scuola lombarda, statua dell’“Immacolata” in marmo di
Carrara della scuola del Bernini, coro in noce con stalli scolpiti del XVII secolo,
ed un dipinto attribuito a Gaudenzio Ferrari del 1532. Aperta solo durante la
messa domenicale del mattino. (Tavola 1 - C2 / Tavola 3 - 11)
Santa Maria di Loppia (Frazione Loppia). Piccola basilica romanica, presenta
facciata a capanna, tracce di affreschi, abside semi-circolare, campanile coro-
nato da archetti pensili. E’ situata nel parco di Villa Gerli, visibile da Loppia,
ma non aperta al pubblico. (Tavola 1 - D3 / Tavola 3 - 6)
San Martino (Frazione Visgnola). Di stile romanico raramente aperta al pub-
blico. (Tavola 1 - B5 / Tavola 3 - 13)
Beata Vergine Annunciata di Breno (Frazione Visgnola). Costruita alla fine
del XVI sec. e rimaneggiata tra il '700 e '800. All'interno un polittico di scuola
Lombarda dei primi del '500, una scultura di Cristo morto ed uno stupendo
dipinto, sempre del '500, rappresentante la Madonna delle Rose.

Punta Spartivento - A 10 minuti dal centro. Magnifica vista sui tre rami del
lago e sulla catena delle Alpi.
Pescallo - A 15 minuti dal centro, caratteristica frazione di pescatori con sug-
gestiva piazzetta.
Loppia - A 20 minuti dal centro, darsene con attracco delle vecchie gondole
lariane, grandi imbarcazioni di legno usate fino alla metà del secolo scorso per
il trasporto delle merci e degli animali.
San Giovanni - A 30 minuti dal centro, caratteristico porticciolo, scuola di ca-
nottaggio. Museo degli strumenti della navigazione.
Mulini del Perlo - A circa un’ora dal centro. Magnifico panorama dei tre rami
del lago e sullo sfondo la catena delle Alpi.
Chevrio-Makallè - A un’ora e mezza da Bellagio centro. Superba vista panora-
mica e ottima posizione per scattare stupende fotografie.
Monte San Primo (1686 m.) - Superba vista delle Alpi (a nord) e della Pianura
Padana (a sud). Strada carrozzabile fino Alpe del Borgo ai piedi della monta-
gna, quindi a piedi in 2 ore sino alla vetta o in 25 minuti sino al Rifugio Marti-
na dall’Alpe delle Ville.

TREMEZZO: Villa Carlotta - Raggiungibile a piedi sia da Tremezzo che da
Cadenabbia in pochi minuti. La villa fu costruita nel 1690 dal Marchese Giorgio
Clerici e prese poi il nome da “Carlotta” principessa Prussiana che l’ebbe in dote
nel 1848 per il suo matrimonio con il Duca di Sassonia Meiningen. Magnifico
parco di rare piante, famosa per la fioritura delle azalee e rododendri. Nella villa
statue di Canova e Thorwaldsen. Aperta tutti i giorni da metà Marzo a metà
Novembre dalle 9.00 alle 18.00; a Marzo e da fine Ottobre aperto dalle 10.00

MENAGGIO: Villa Mylius Vigoni (Frazione di Loveno). Raggiungibile a piedi
dall’imbarcadero di Menaggio in direzione Lugano salendo per circa 25 minuti
oppure in autobus o auto. Villa ottocentesca ora sede del Centro Italo-Tedesco
che ospita convegni e seminari. Visitabile il meraviglioso e romantico parco
con stupenda vista sul centro lago solo con visite guidate alle 14.30 e alle
16.30 della durata di circa 1h30 tutti i giovedì dell’anno solo previo appunta-
mento. Le visite di gruppi possono essere effettuate qualsiasi giorno. Durante

VARENNA: vecchio villaggio caratteristico di pescatori.
Castel Vezio (1 ora a piedi ca.), ultima dimora della regina longobarda Teodolinda.
Villa Monastero. Ex convento cistercense del 1200, trasformato in splendida resi-
denza nobile nel XVII secolo. Dal 1936 sede di studi scientifici e culturali a livello
internazionale. Parco visitabile da inizio Marzo a fine Ottobre dalle 9.30 alle 19.00.
La Casa-Museo Villa Monastero è visitabile solo il venerdì, sabato e la domenica.
Ad Agosto la Casa Museo è visitabile tutti i giorni.

Villa Cipressi. Settecentesca villa con un bellissimo e ben curato giardino. Vi-
sitabile solo il parco da Aprile a fine Ottobre tutti i giorni dalle 9.00 alle 18.30.
LENNO: Villa Balbianello. Sita sull’estrema punta del promontorio di Lavedo, la
Villa Balbianello venne costruita sulle rovine di un monastero dal cardinale Angelo
Maria Durini alla fine del ‘700. Ora è di proprietà del FAI, Fondo per l’Ambiente
Italiano.
E’ aperta al pubblico da metà Marzo a metà Novembre dalle 10.00 alle 18.00.
Chiusa il lunedì e mercoledì non festivi. E’ raggiungibile a piedi (1 Km. circa) da
Lenno o con barca-navetta.
PIONA: Abbazia Cistercense di Piona (1236-1422). Chiostro con colonnato a
capitelli differenti. Iscrizioni del 1257 e 1352. Chiesa dell’XI secolo. Ruderi
dell’oratorio, iscrizioni riferite all’anno 1596.
ISOLA COMACINA: Antica fortezza. Ruderi di mura di chiese e della basilica
anteriori al 1169. Rifugio di Vassalli ribelli e luogo di battaglie navali tra i
paesi del lago alleati a Milano contro Como. Rasa al suolo dai Comaschi con
l’aiuto del Barbarossa nel 1169.
BELLANO - Con il suo “Orrido” e la magnifica Chiesa di S. Nazaro e Celso
(1348) dove si possono ammirare affreschi del 1530.
COMO - Non si può tralasciare una visita alla città di Como con il suo Duomo
(1396), la chiesa romanica di S. Fedele, la neoclassica Villa Olmo, il Museo
Civico d’Archeologia ed il Tempio-Museo dedicato ad Alessandro Volta in riva
al lago, così come tanti altri interessanti monumenti.

Geography - Bellagio is on the tip of a promontory at the end of the chain of
mountains where the lake bifurcates. The historic and tourist centre is towards the
bottom part of the promontory while its many hamlets are scattered on the hills
and overlook both the south-eastern and south-western branches of lake Como.
Flora - Sub-alpine, alpine and Mediterranean vegetation: Cypresses and pines
grow on the shore, vines and olives on the sunny slopes and chestnuts, beeches,
nuts and conifers abound in the mountains. Flowers start blooming in March with
daffodils and lily-of-the-valley. The highlight in April and May are the spectacu-
lar colours of azaleas, rhododendrons and camellias. Roses, oleanders and
hydrangeas bloom from June to September. The beauty of Bellagio’s park and
gardens are enhanced by magnificent warm autumn colours from the end of
September and for the whole of October.
Climate - The luxuriance of plants and flowers is favoured by a temperate and
mild climate. The average winter-temperature does not fall below 6-7°C, while
the summer-temperature does not exceed 25-30°C which are mitigated in the
afternoon by the “breva”, the so-called light breeze, typical of Lake Como.
Some history - Already inhabited in prehistoric times, Bellagio was the
summer residence of the Roman patricians and then of Lombardy’s noble fami-
lies who built magnificent villas here. In the past Bellagio enchanted
artists, poets writers and musicians from all over the world: Pliny the Younger,
Longfellow, Twain, Shelley, Stendhal, Flaubert, Faure, Giordano, Toscanini and
Franz Listz have been enchanted by the place.
Gastronomy - The local cuisine is based on many typical dishes of the lake area
and the surrounding Lombardy region such as rice with fillets of perch, lavarets,
marinated bleaks, dried allic shads (“misultitt”), trouts, polenta, Bresaola and
among the sweets, “Pan Mataloc”.
Handicraft and local products - The Como area is famous for its ancient
tradition of its silk industry. Amongst local craftsmen’s products are carved olive
wood, blown and hand-painted glass, leathers and hand-made shoes.
Shopping - In the many shops one can also find an assortment of jewellery,
clothes, accessories, gifts, antiques and art works, china and pottery, costume
jewellery and souvenirs.
Attractions - Summer evening entertainment offers musical concerts, choral
and instrumental performances both open-air and in characteristic buildings or
churches. Various folk festivals and daily musical entertainment in bars, cafés
and restaurants.
VILLAS, GARDENS AND MUSEUMS
Villa Serbelloni - Splendid views of the Como and Lecco branches of the lake
from the 18th century garden as well as views of the lake’s northern branch and
the Pre-Alps from the remains of the fortification on the top of the promontory.
Villa’s Serbelloni park can only be visited on guided tours for a minimum of 6
people and a maximum of 30. Tours last about 1hr.30 mins. Leaving at 11 am
and 3.30 pm from the medieval tower in the St. Giacomo Square in the upper
part of the town. Groups need to book in advance. Open daily except Mondays
from the middle of March to the middle of November. In the event of bad weather
tours are cancelled.

Villa Melzi d’Eril - Magnificent residence built in 1808 for Duke Francesco Melzi
d’Eril, friend and political associate of Napoleon Bonaparte. Tickets include entrance
to the neo-classic Chapel, the museum and the park with its interesting sculptures
and stupendous azaleas and rhododendrons. The present owner is Count Gallarati
Scotti. Open daily from the end of March to the beginning of November from 9.30
am to 6.30 pm.

Museum of Navigational Instruments - Among the most interesting instruments
in this private collection are to be found eighteenth century telescopes made in
Venice, compasses and solar clocks of various periods together with a rich collection
of marine chronometers, an armillary sphere and a stupendous planetarium in
brass. The Museum is to be found in the hamlet of San Giovanni, Piazza don
Miotti, at about 25 minutes on foot from the historical centre of Bellagio. It is open
during the summer season from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Entry by payment.

Lombard art (XII cent.), built between 1075 and 1125 by the Masters of Como.
Inside mosaics of the early '900, rich altar of the end of '500, a “Deposition of
Christ” by the Perugino school, an archaic cross (XII cent.), a tri by
Foppa (1432), a polychrome wooden sculpture of the “Buried Christ” of the

Historical Tour and walk around hamlets of Bellagio - At the tourist office you
can ask for a copy of one of these itineraries as well as the map of walks in the
mountains.
Punta Spartivento - 10 minutes from the centre. Superb view of the lake’s three
branches and in the background the chain of the Alps.
Pescallo - 10 minutes from the centre, characteristic fishing-village, first developed
village on the peninsula of Bellagio on the Lecco arm. Suggestive little square.
Loppia - 20 minutes from the centre, landing-docks of the old Lake Como Gondolas
used since the middle of last century for the transportation of goods.
San Giovanni - 30 minutes from the centre, characteristic port, rowing-school.
Mulini del Perlo - About 1h. from the centre, a magnificent view of the three bran-
ches of the lake and in the background the chain of the Alps.
Chevrio-Makallè - About 1.30 h from the centre, a superb view and excellent
position for taking beautiful pictures.
Monte San Primo (1686 m.) - Superb view of the Alps (in the north) and of the
Pianura Padana (in the south). Carriage road till the refuge at 1200 m., from
which, in 2 hours, you can reach on foot the summit of Monte San Primo.

WHAT TO VISIT AROUND BELLAGIO
TREMEZZO: Villa Carlotta - The villa can be reached either from Tremezzo or
Cadenabbia on foot. It was built in 1690 by the Marquis Giorgio Clerici, the
villa got its name from “Carlotta”, Prussian Princess, who received it as a
dowry in 1848 at her marriage with the duke of Saxen-Meiningen. Splendid
park with some rare plants, famous for the azaleas and rhododendrons. In the
villa itself there are sculptures of Canova and Thorwaldsen. Open daily from 9
am to 6 pm from March to November. In March, end of October and beginning of
November open from 10 am to 5 pm.

MENAGGIO: Villa Mylius Vigoni - (Loveno hamlet). 25 minutes uphill walk
from Menaggio’s boat landing stage or 5 minutes ride by car or bus heading
towards Lugano. 19th century villa now seat of the Italo-German centre for
seminars and congresses. Beautiful views from its spectacular park of the cen-
tral part of the lake, which can be visited only on a guided tour at 2.30 pm and
4.30pm on Thursdays all year round. Reservations are required. The tour
lasts about 1hr.30. Groups visits of the park can be requested for any day of

VARENNA: ancient characteristic fishing village.
Vezio Castle (1 hour on foot). Last residence of the Longobard Queen Teodolinda.
Villa Monastero. Ex-cistercian monastery built in XIII cent., transformed into a
splendid noble residence in XVII cent. Since 1936 centre of scientiﬁc and cultural
studies of international level. Park open everyday from the beginning of March to
the end of October from 9.30 am to 7 pm. It is possible to visit the Casa-Museo
Villa Monastero just on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. In August the Casa-Museo

Villa Cipressi. Neoclassical villa surrounded by a charming little garden. You
can visit only the gardens which are open daily from April to October from 9

LENNO: Villa Balbianello. On the tip of the Lavedo promontory, the Villa Balbianello
was built on the ruins of a monastry for Cardinal A. M. Durini at the end of 18th
century. It is now an Italian National Trust property and is open from the middle of
March to the middle of November from 10 am to 6 pm. Closed on Mondays and
Wednesdays (if not Italian public holidays). It can be reached on foot from Lenno

PIONA: Cistercian Abbey (1236-1422); monastery and colonnade with
different capitals. Inscriptions of 1257 and 1352. Church of IXth century.
ISOLA COMACINA: Ancient fortress. Ruins of walls and the basilica prior
to 1169. Refuge of rebel Vassals and region of naval battles between the
countries of the lake allied with Milan against Como.
The island was razed to the ground by the people of Como with the help of
Barbarossa in 1169.
BELLANO - Impressive ravine and magnificent dome (1348). Frescos of 1530.
COMO - The Cathedral (1396), the Romanesque church of S. Fedele (XI
cent.) the lakeside Villa Olmo and the Volta Museum, the Civic Museum of
Archaeology and many other interesting sights make Como worth a visit.

Geographie - Bellagio liegt an der äußersten Spitze der Gabelung, die den
Comersee in zwei Teile trennt. Das Touristenzentrum befindet sich an der
äußersten Seite des Hügels, während die zahlreichen Fraktionen sich längs der
Seeufer und der Hügelabhänge erstrecken.
Vegetation - Drei Arten sind anzufinden: subalpine, Mediterran- und
Alpenvegetation. An den Ufern wachsen Zypressen und Kiefern, an den
sonnigen Hängen Weinstöcke und Olivenbäume und im Gebirge Kastanien,
Buchen, Nuß- und Nadelbäume. Auf dem Blumenkalender stehen im März
Narzissen und Maiglöckchen in Blüte, im April und Mai Azaleen, Alpenrosen
und Kamelien in den herrlichsten Farben, während ab Juni bis September
Rosen, Oleander und Hortensien Bellagio schmücken. Ende September bis
Oktober färbt dann der Herbst die Gärten und Parks von Bellagio mit seiner
unvergleichlichen Farbenpalette.
Klima - Die Üppigkeit an Pflanzen und Blumen ist einem sanften und
temperierten Klima zu verdanken. Die durchschnittliche Wintertemperatur sinkt
nicht unter 6-7°C, während im Sommer die Temperatur von 25-30° nachmittags
von der “breva”, der für den Comersee typischen Brise abgekühlt wird.
Historische Hinweise - Bereits in der Vorgeschichte bewohnt, war Bellagio
ferner Sommersitz der römischen Patrizier und später der Adelsfamilien der
Lombardei, die hier herrliche Villen erbauten. Der Ort faszinierte in der
Vergangenheit ebenfalls Dichter und Schriftsteller aller Welt wie Plinius der
Junge, Taine, Longfellow, Twain, Shelley, Stendhal, Flaubert, Faure und
Künstler wie Giordano, Toscanini und Franz Liszt.
Gastronomie - Die Lokalküche besteht aus typischen Gerichten der Gegend
und der Lombardei, insbesondere sind zu erwähnen: Reis mit Eglifilet,
Blaufelchen, marinierte Ukeleien, getrocknete Maifische (“misultitt”), Forellen,
Polenta, Bresaola (luftgetrocknetes Rindfleisch) und unter den Süßspeisen das
“Pan Mataloc”.
Kunsthandwerk und Lokalprodukte - Die Comer Gegend ist berühmt für ihre
alte Tradition in der Herstellung von Seide; das lokale Kunsthandwerk bietet
Schnitzereien aus Olivenholz, Glasbläserei und handgemachte Lederartikel.
Shopping - In den zahlreichen Geschäften sind außer den kunsthandwerklichen
Artikeln ferner Schmuck, Kleidung und Accessoires, Geschenk- und
Kunstartikel, Antiquariat, Porzellan und Keramik, Bijouterie und Souvenirs zu
finden.
Veranstaltungen und Unterhaltung - In Bellagio werden unter freiem Himmel
sowie in den eindrucksvollen Kirchen Musik- Chor- und Kapellkonzerte
organisiert; an den Sommerabenden finden ferner verschiedene Volksfeste
statt und in den zahlreichen Lokalen fehlt es nicht an täglicher musikalischer
Unterhaltung.
VILLEN, GÄRTEN UND MUSEUM
Villa Serbelloni - Von den Gärten im Stile des 19. Jahrh. bietet sich ein
wunderbares Panorama auf den Seearm von Como und den von Lecco. Von
den Festungen auf dem Hügel aus sind der nördliche Seearm und die Alpen zu
sehen. Der Park von Villa Serbelloni ist nur mit Führung (min. 6 Pers., max. 30
Pers.) zweimal am Tag zu besichtigen und zwar morgens um 11.00 und
nachmittags um 15.30 Uhr. Die Besichtigung dauert etwa 1 1
/2 Stunden und
Ausgangspunkt ist der mittelalterliche Turm auf der Piazza della Chiesa di S.
Giacomo in dem oberen Teil des Ortzentrums. Bei Gruppen ist eine

Villa Melzi D’Eril - Entstand 1808 mit ihrer prächtigen Architektur für den
Herzog Francesco Melzi D‘Eril, Mitarbeiter Napoleons. In dem an Azaleen und
Rhododendren reichen Park sind ferner interessante Statuen, die Kapelle und
das kleine Museum zu besichtigen. Der heutige Besitzer ist Graf Gallarati

Museum der Nautikinstrumente - Unter den interessantesten Instrumenten
dieser Privatsammlung sind Ferngläser venezianischer Anfertigung aus dem
18.Jahrh. zu sehen sowie Kompasse, Sonnenuhren verschiedener epochen,
zahlreiche Seechronometer, eine astronomische Kugel und ein herrliches
Messingplanetarium. Das Museum befindet sich in der Fraktion San Giovanni
in Piazza don Miotti und ist in ungf. 25 Minuten zu Fuß ab Zentrum Bellagio zu

KIRCHEN UND BASILIKEN
Basilica San Giacomo (Fraktion Borgo). Entstand zwischen 1075 und 1125
von Hand der Comer Meister als einzigartiges Beispiel der romanish-
lombardischen Kunst (XII. Jahrh.). Im Innern Mosaikarbeiten aus dem frühen
'900, ein prunkvoller Altar von Ende des '500, eine “Grablegung Christi” aus
der Schule des Perugino, ein archaisches Kruzifix aus dem XII. Jahrh., ein
Triptychon von Foppa (1432), eine mehrfarbige Holzstatue des “Grabgelegten
Christus” aus der Spanisch-Barockschule. (Tavola 1 - G4 / Tavola 2 - Y3)
San Giorgio (Fraktion Borgo). Romanische kleine Kirche aus der Epoche 1080 -
1120. Innen ist eine Statue der, Madonna della Cintura“ zu sehen. Im 1658 wurde

San Giovanni Battista (Fraktion S. Giovanni). Einschiffiger Barockbau (XVII.
Jahrh); Innen ein Holzaltar aus dem 17. Jahrh., eine Freske der „Madonna
delle Grazie“ aus der lombardischen Schule, eine Statue der „Immacolata“ aus
Marmor von Carrara aus der Schule des Bernini, ein Chorstuhl aus Nußholz
und geschitztem Gestühl (XVII. Jahrh.) und ein Gemald zugeschrieben von
Gaudenzio Ferrari (1532). Nur während der sonntäglichen Gottesdienste

Santa Maria di Loppia (Fraktion Loppia). Kleine romanische Basilika mit
Hüttenfassade, innen sind Spuren von Fresken zu erkennen, die Apsis ist
halbrund und der Turm wird von Hängebögen gekrönt. Die Kirche steht in dem
Park der Villa Gerli und ist von Loppia aus zu sehen. Kein öffentlicher Eintritt.

San Martino (Fraktion Visgnola). Kirche romanischen Stils, leider nur selten

B.V. Annunciata di Breno (Fraktion Visgnola). Im späten XVI. Jahrhundert gebaut
und zwischen 1700 und 1800 umgebaut. Im Inneren ein Altarbild lombardischer
Schule von Anfang 1500, eine Skulptur des toten Christus und ein aus 1500
wunderbares Gemälde mit der Madonna der Rosen. (Tavola 1 - B4 / Tavola 3 - 13)
SPAZIERGÄNGE
Historischer Weg und Rundgang dürch einige Ortsteile von Bellagio - beim
touristischen Büro von Bellagio erhalten Sie diese Prospekte sowie die
Wanderkarte in den Bergen.
Punta Spartivento - Etwa 10 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Bietet ein
herrliches Panorama auf die drei Seearme und die Kette der Alpen.
Pescallo - Etwa 15 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt; charakteristischer
Fischerort mit einem romantischen kleinen Platz am Seeufer.
Loppia - Etwa 20 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt; Hafenbecken mit
Anlegerplatz für die alten Holzgondeln des Comer Sees, die bis Mitte des
1800 zum Transport von Waren und Tieren dienten.
San Giovanni - Etwa 30 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt; pittoresker Hafen mit
der Rudersportschule.
Mulini del Perlo - Etwa 1 Stunde; bietet ein wunderbares Panorama auf die drei
Seearme und im Hintergrund auf die Kette der Alpen.
Chevrio-Makallè - Etwa 1 1
/2 Stunde von Bellagio entfernt; herrlicher Blick und
idealer Ort zur Aufnahme von Fotos.
San Primo-Berg (1686 m.) - Herrlicher Blick auf die Alpen (nördlich) und auf
die Poebene (südlich). Befahrbarer Weg bis zur Alpe del Borg, dann zu Fuß bis
zum Gipfel in etwa 2 Stunden. Als Alternative kann der Weg ab Alpe delle Ville
bis zur Hütte Martina gewählt werden (etwa 25 Min.).

TREMEZZO: Villa Carlotta. Zu Fuß von Tremezzo sowie von Cadenabbia aus
erreichbar. Die Villa wurde 1690 von Marchese Giorgio Clerici erbaut und erhielt
den Namen Carlotta von der preußischen Prinzessin, die sie 1848 anlä ß lich
ihrer Heirat mit dem Herzog von Sachsen-Meiningen als Geschenk erhielt. Der
wunderbare Park mit den zahlreichen seltenen Pflanzen ist wegen seiner üppigen
Azaleen- und Rhododendrenblüte berühmt. In der Villa sind ferner Statuen von
Canova und Thorwaldsen zu sehen. Besuchsperiode: März bis November täglich
geöffnet von 9 Uhr bis 18 Uhr. In März, am Ende Oktober und November von

MENAGGIO: Villa Mylius Vigoni (Fraktion Loveno): Zu Fuß vom Fährenanleger
von Menaggio in etwa 25 Minuten erreichbar, oder in 5 Minuten mit Autobus oder
Auto in Richtung Lugano. Villa aus dem 19. Jahrh., heute Sitz des italienisch-
deutschen Kongresszentrums. Der herrliche Park mit Blick auf die drei Seearme
ist nur donnerstags mit Führung um 14.30 Uhr und 16.30 Uhr mit vorheriger
Anmeldung zu besichtigen. Die Besichtigung dauert etwa 11

VARENNA: altes pittoreskes Fischerdorf.
Villa Monastero. Ehemaliges Zisterzienserkloster aus dem Jahre 1200, das im
XVII. Jahrh. in eine herrliche Adelsresidenz umgewandelt wurde. Seit 1936 Sitz für
wissenschaftliche und kulturelle Studien auf internationaler Ebene. Zu besichtigen
ist der Park ab März bis Ende Oktober von 9.30 Uhr bis 19.00 Uhr. Casa-Museo
Villa Monastero kann man Innen freitags, samstags und sonntags besichtigen. Im

Schloß Vezio. (1 Stunde zu Fuß); letzte Wohnstatt der langobardischen Königin,
Teodolinda.
Villa Cipressi. Villa aus dem 18. Jahrh. mit herrlich gepflegtem Park, der ab April
bis Ende Oktober täglich von 9.00 - 18.30 Uhr besucht werden kann.
Die Villa selbst ist nicht geöffnet.
LENNO: Villa Balbianello. Liegt an der äußersten Spitze des Hügels von Lavedo
und wurde Ende des 18. Jahrh. auf den Ruinen eines Klosters von Kardinal Angelo
Maria Durini errichtet. Heute im Besitz des FAI, Fondo per l‘Ambiente Italiano
(Stiftung für die Umwelt Italiens). Die Villa ist ab Mitte März bis Mitte November
von 10.00 Uhr bis 18.00 Uhr geöffnet. Montags und mittwochs geschlossen (außer
Feiertagen) dem Publikum. Erreichbar auf dem Landweg zu Fuß ab Lenno (1 km

PIONA: Abtei von Piona. Zisterzienser Abtei (1236 - 1422); Kreuzgang mit
Säulengang mit verschiedenen Kapitellen. Inschriften aus dem 1257 und 1352.
Kirche aus dem IX. Jahrhundert; Ruinen des Oratoriums, Inschriften aus dem
Jahre 1596.
ISOLA COMACINA (Comer See-Insel): Alte Festung. Zu sehen sind Mauerreste
von Kirchen und der Basilika aus der Zeit vor 1169. Die Insel diente ribellischen
Vasallen als Zufluchtsort und war Zuge von Schiffsschlachten zwischen den mit
Mailand gegen Como verbündeten Seebevölkerungen. Der Ort wurde 1169 vom
Comer Volk mit Hilfe von Barbarossa vollkommen zerstört.
BELLANO - Zu besichtigen sind die Schlucht und der herrliche Dom (1348) mit
Fresken aus dem Jahre 1530.
COMO - Ein Besuch in Como ist zu empfehlen um den Dom (1396), die romanische
Kirche S. Fedele, die neoklassische Villa Olmo an der Seepromenade und den
Alessandro Volta gewidmetem Museumstempel zu besichtigen.

NOUVELLES DE CARACTERE GENERAL
Geographie - Bellagio est situé à la pointe extrême de cette région qui partage
le lac de Côme en deux branches. Le centre touristique occupe la partie extrême
du promontoire, alors que les nombreux hameaux sont disséminées aussi bien
le long des rives du lac que sur le pentes des collines.
Vegetation - De type subalpin, alpin et méditerranéen. Sur les rives poussent
des cypres et des pins; sur les pentes ensoleillées la vigne et l’olivier; sur les
monts châtaigners, hêtres, noyers et conifères. Le calendrier des floraisons com-
prend: narcisses et muguets en mars; azalées exceptionnelles et très colorées,
rhododendrons et camélias en avril et mai; roses, oléandres, lauriers et horten-
sias décorent Bellagio de juin à septembre. A signaler la charmante palette de
couleurs automnales si variée dans les jardins et les parcs de Bellagio à la fin
septembre et en octobre.
Climat - Cette luxuriance de plantes et de fleurs est favorisée par un climat
tempéré et doux. La température moyenne hivernale ne tombe pas au-dessous
de 6-7°C, alors qu’en été elle est d’environ 25-30°C, attenuée dans l’après-midi
par la “breva”, une légère brise caractéristique du lac de Côme.
Notes historiques - Déjà habité aux temps préhistoriques, ce fut un lieu de
résidence d’été des patriciens romains et, par la suite, des familles nobles lom-
bardes qui y batîrent de magnifiques villas. Il fascina, dans le passé, poètes et
écrivains du monde entier, de Pline le Jeune à Taine, Longfellow, Twain, Shelley,
Stendhal, Flaubert, Fauré et des artistes tels que Giordano, Toscanini et Franz
Liszt.
Gastronomie - La cuisine locale est riche en plats typiques du lac et en plats
lombards: le riz aux filets de perche, le lavaret, les ablettes en sauce matelote,
les aloses desèchées (“misultitt”), les truites, la polenta, la bresaola (viande
sèche) et , parmi les douceurs, le pain “mataloc”.
Artisanat et produits locaux - La région de Côme est réputée pour la production
de superbes soies d’ancienne tradition; l’artisanat local offre: bois d’olivier entail-
lé, verre soufflé et décoré, cuirs, chaussures façonnées à la main.
Shopping - Dans les nombreuses boutiques on peut trouver, à part les articles
d’artisanat, bijoux, habillement et accessoires, articles pour cadeau, objets d’art
et d’antiquité, porcellaines et faïences, bijouterie et souvenirs.
Manifestations et spectacles - A Bellagio on organise des manifestations musi-
cales, de choristes, instrumentales et de fanfares, en plein air et dans les églises
typiques; de folkloriques fêtes patronales dans les soirées d’été et des amusements
musicaux dans le nombreux bars et cafés.
VILLAS, JARDINS ET MUSEES
Villa Serbelloni - Superbe panorama des bras du lac de Come et de Lecco que
l’on peut admirer de ses jardins datant du XIXe siècle. De la fortification sur le
promontoire, la vue embrasse la partie nord du lac ainsi que les Préalpes. La
visite du parc de la Villa Serbelloni, uniquement avec guide, se fait à partir de la
tour médiévale située place de l’Eglise St. Jacques (partie haute du village) deux
fois par jour à 11.00h. et à 15.30h., pour 6 personnes min. et 30 personnes max.
Sa durée est d’environ 1h30. Réservation obligatoire pour les groupes. Ouverte
de mi-Mars à mi-Novembre. Fermé le Lundi et en cas de mauvais temps. Pour

Villa Melzi D’Eril - Splendide demeure patricienne en pur style néoclassique,
construite en 1808 par Francesco Melzi d’Eril, vice-président de la République
Italienne fondée par Napoléon. La visite comprend la chapelle, le petit musée et
le parc où de splendides groupes d’azalées, de rhododendrons et d’arbres sécu-
laires s’alternent avec de très belles statues. Propriété du Comte Gallarati Scotti.
Ouverte tous les jours de 9.30h. à 18.30h. à partir du dernier Samedi du Mars
au premier Dimanche de Novembre.

Musée des Instruments pour la Navigation - Parmi les instruments les plus inté-
ressants de cette collection privée, on peut trouver des lunettes d’approche du
dix-huitième siècle de fabrication vénitienne, des boussoles, des cadrans solaires
de différentes époques, un grand nombre de chronomètres de marine, une sphè-
re armillaire et un magnifique planétaire en laiton. Le musée est situé dans le
hameau de San Giovanni, place don Miotti, à 25 minutes de marche du centre
historique de Bellagio. Il est ouvert, pendant l’été, de 10.00h à 13.00h.

de l’école de Bernini, choeur en noyer avec stalles sculptées du XVIIe siècle et

Beata Vergine Annunciata di Breno (Visgnola) - Bâtie à la fin du XVIe siècle
et modifièe entre le XVIIIe et le XIXe siècle. A l'intérieur il y a un retable
d'école lombarde du début di XVIe siècle, une sculpture représentant le Christ
mort et une peinture magnifique, qui remonte aussi au XVI e siècle, avec la

Punta Spartivento - A 10 minutes du centre de Bellagio. Superbe vue sur les
trois bras du lac entourés de montagnes et les Alpes au nord.
Pescallo - A 15 minutes du centre. Caractéristique village de pecheurs.
Loppia - A 20 minutes du centre. Darses avec vieilles gondoles du Lac de Come
utilisées jusqu’à la moitié du siècle dernier pour le transport de
marchandises et d’animaux.
San Giovanni - A 30 minutes du centre, petit port caractéristique. Ecole de
canotage.
Mulini del Perlo - A une heure environ du centre. Vue magnifique des trois bras
du lac de Come et, sur le fond, la chaine des Alpes.
Chevrio/Makallè - A 1.30h. environ du centre. Superbe vue panoramique et
excellente position pour prendre de merveilleuses photos.
Mont San Primo (1686 m.) - Superbe vue des Alpes (au nord) et de la Plaine
Padane (au sud). Route carrossable jusqu’au Alpe del Borgo en suite à pied
jusq’au sommet en 2 heures environ. Comme alternative on peut partir du Alpe
delle Ville jusqu’au Rifugio Martina en 25 minutes environ.

TREMEZZO: Villa Carlotta. On peut y arriver à pied à partir de Tremezzo ou de
Cadenabbia en quelques instants. Villa construite en 1690 par le Marquis
Giorgio Clerici. Le nom de “Carlotta” lui vient de la princesse Carlotta di Prussia
qui la reçut en dot en 1848 pour son mariage avec le Duc de Sax-Meiningen.
Merveilleux parc de plantes rares, fameux pour la floraison d’azalées et rhodo-
dendrons. A l’intérieur statues de Canova et Thorwaldsen. Ouverte tous les jours
de 9.00h. à 18.00h. à partir de la moitié du mois de Mars au premier Dimanche
de Novembre. A Mars, à la fin de Octobre et à Novembre ouvert de 10.00h. à

MENAGGIO: Villa Mylius Vigoni (Hameau de Loveno). On peut la rejoindre à
pied de l’imbarcadère de Menaggio en montant en direction de Lugano en 25
minutes environ ou bien en autobus ou voiture. Villa construite en 1800,
actuellement siège du Centre Culturel Italien-Allemand où se tiennent des con-
grès et des conférences. Merveilleux parc romantique avec très belle vue sur
le lac ouvert toute l’année uniquement avec guide le Jeudi à 14.30h. et à
16.30h. La visite dure environ 1h.30. Réservation au numéro 0344.361.11 ou
0344.361.232. Pour les groupes la visite du parc est possible chaque jour
mais uniquement sur réservation. Le parc est fermé au public pendant les
conférences.
VARENNA: vieux village caractéristique de pecheurs sur le bras du lac de Lecco.
Chateau de Vezio (1 heure à pied) - dernière demeure de la reine longobarde
Théodolinde.
Villa Monastero. Ancien couvent cistercien du XIIIe siècle, transformé en superbe
résidence au XVIIe siècle. A partir de 1936 siège d’études scientifiques et culturel-
les de niveau international. On peut visiter le parc de Mars à la fin de Octobre de
9.30h. à 19.00h. La Casa-Museo Villa Monastero est ouverte seulement le Vendredi,
Samedi et Dimanche. En Août la Casa-Museo est ouverte tous les jours. Pour

Villa Cipressi. Construite en 1700, magnifique jardin très bien entretenu. On
peut visiter seulement le parc du 1er

LENNO: Villa Balbianello. Située sur la pointe du promontoire de Lavedo, la
Villa Balbianello fut construite sur les ruines d’un couvent par le Cardinal Angelo
Maria Durini vers la fin du XVIIIe siècle. Actuellement la villa est pro- priété du
F.A.I. (Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano). Le jardin est ouvert au public de mi-Mars
à mi-Novembre de 10.00h. à 18.00h. Fermé le Lundi et le Mercredi (sauf jours
fériés). On peut y arriver à partir de Lenno à pied (environs 1 km.) ou avec des

PIONA: Abbaye cistercienne de Piona (1236-1422) - Cloitre avec colonnes
à chapiteaux. Bas - reliefs de 1257 et 1352. Eglise du IXe siècle. Ruines de
l’oratoire. Bas-reliefs de 1596.
ISOLA COMACINA: Ancienne forteresse. Ruines des murs d’églises et d’une
basilique datant d’avant 1169. Refuge de vassaux rebelles et lieu de batailles
navales entre les villages du lac alliés à Milan contre Come. Rasée au sol par
les habitants de Come avec l’aide de Fréderic Barberousse en 1169.
BELLANO: avec son “Orrido” (ravin) et sa superbe église de SS. Nazaro et
Celso (1348) où on peut admirer des Fresques de 1530.
COMO: on ne peut manquer la visite de la ville de Come avec son “Duomo”
(1396), l’église romane de S. Fedele, la Villa Olmo néoclassique en bordure
du lac, le Temple-Musée dédié à Alessandro Volta, le Musée Municipal d’Ar-
chéologie, ainsi que beaucoup d’autres endroits d’interet historique et culturel.

ACTIVITES SPORTIVES ET DU LOISIR

Geografia - Bellagio se situa en la punta estrema de la regiòn que divide el lago
de Como en dos bifurcaciones. El centro turistico ocupa la parte extrema del
promontorio, mientras que los numerosos suburbios se diseminan sea a lo largo
de las orillas del lago sea en las laderas colinares.
Vegetación - De tipo subalpino, alpino y mediterraneo. En las riberas crecen
cipreses y pinos; sobre los declives soleados, la vid y el olivo; en las montanas:
castaños, hayas, nogales y confieras.
El calendario de las floraciones comprende: narcisos y muguetes en marzo;
excepcionales azaleas de vivos colores en abril y mayo; rosas, aleándos y hor-
tensias embellecen Veía agio desde junio hasta septiembre; perfumadísimas olea
fragrans e osmatus en septiembre. Se señala el encantador y variado abanico
de colores otoñales en los jardines y en los parques de Bellagio a finales de
septiembre y en octubre.
Clima - Una vegetación tan exuberante es favorecida por un clima templado y
dulce. La temperatura media en invierno no desciende por debajo de los 6-7
grados centìgrados, mientras en verano se alcanzan los 25-30 grados, con noches
templadas por la “breva”, ligera brisa caracterìstica del Lago de Como.
Un poco de historia - Ya habitada en época prehistòrica, Bellagio, fué lugar de
residencia veraniega de patricios romanos y, sucesivamente, de nobles familias
lombardas que edificaron allì sus estupendas mansiones. En el pasado, cautivò
a poetas y escritores de todo el mundo, desde Plinio el joven a Taine, Longfellow,
Twain, Shelley, Stendhal, Flaubert, Faure y artistas como Giordano, Toscanini
y Franz Liszt.
Gastronomía - La cocina local es rica de platos tìpicos del lago y lombardos: el
arroz con filetes de percas, sarras, alburnos “en escabeche”, alosas lacustres
disecadas “misultitt”, truchas, la polenta de maìz, bresaola y, entre los dulces,
el Pan “Mataloc”.
Artesanìas y productos locales - La zona de cómo es famosa por su producción
de bellìsimas sedas de antigua tradición; el artesanato local ofrece: madera de
olivo entallado. Vidrio soplado y decorado, pieles y calzados fabricados a
mano.
Compras - En los numerosos negocios de la zona se pueden encontrar, ademàs
de artesanìas, joyas, objetos antiguos, artìculos de regalo, ropa, porcelanas,
cerámicas, bisuterìas y souvenires.
Eventos y espectáculos - En Bellagio se organizan reseñas musicales, corales,
instrumentales y de bandas, al aire libre o en el interior de sus sugestivas iglesias;
fiestas patronales y folklorìsticas en las noches de verano y cotidianamente,
entretenimientos musicales en diferentes lugares.
VILLAS, JARDINES Y MUSEOS
Villa Serbelloni - Desde sus jardines de 1800 se disfruta de un extraordinario
panorama de los “brazos” del Lago de cómo y Lecho. Desde la fortificaciòn en
el promontorio tenemos la visiòn del brazo norte del lago y de los Prealpes. El
parque de la mansión abre al pùblico con visitas guiadas a partir de un mìnimo
de 6 hasta un màximo de 30 personas. Duraciòn: 1h30 minutos aproximada-
mente con salidas a las 11.00 y a las 15.30 horas desde la Torre medioeval en
la plaza de la Iglesia de Santiago situada en la parte alta del centro del pueblo.
Para los grupos es obligatorio reservar. Abierto desde mediados de marzo hasta
mediados de noviembre, todos los dìas excepto los lunes y en caso de mal

Villa Melzi D’Eril - Magnifica en su arquitectura, construìda en 1808 por el Duque
Francisco Melzi D’Eril, asesor de Napoleón. La visita comprende la capilla, el
pequeño museo y el parque donde estupendos grupos de azaleas y rododendros
se alternan con magnìficas estatuas. Actualmente el propietario es el Conde Gallarati
Scotti. Abierta todos los dias de las 9.30 a las 18.30 horas desde finales de marzo

Museo de Instrumentos de Navegación - Entre los muchos instrumentos inte-
resantes de esta colección privada destacan binóculos del ‘700 de estilo vene-
ciano, brújulas, relojes solares de distintas épocas, una rica serie de cronòmetros
de marina, una esfera armilar y un estupendo planetario de latòn. El Museo se
encuentra en el suburbio de San Juan, en la Plaza Don Miotti, a unos 25 minu-
tos a pié del centro històrico de Bellagio. Abierto durante el verano de las 10.00
a las 13.00 horas. Se paga la entrada.

IGLESIAS Y BASILICAS
Basílica de Santiago (localidad Borgo). Estupendo ejemplo de arte romànico-
lombardo (siglo XII) construìda entre 1075 y 1125 por los maestros “comacini”. En
su interior se encuentran mosaicos de comienzos de principios del ’900 enrique-
cido por un altar de finales del '500, la “ Deposiciòn de Cristo” obra de la Escuela
del Perugino, el Crucifijo arcaico del siglo XII, el triptico (1432), el “Cristo depuesto”
estatua en madera policroma de la escuela española-barroca (Tavola 1 - G4 /
Tavola 2 - Y3)
San Jorge (localidad Borgo). Pequeña iglesia romànica del periodo 1080-1120. En
su interior se puede admirar la estatua de la Virgen de la Cintura. Desde 1658 la
iglesia es sede de la confradìa de los “Cinturati”. (Tavola 1 - G5 / Tavola 2 - V3)
San Juan Bautista (localidad San Giovanni). Construcciòn barroca (siglo XVII) a
nave unica. Con altar en madera del '600. En su interior la “Virgen de las Gracias”
fresco de la escuela lombarda, estatua de la “Inmaculada” en mármol de Carrara
de la escuela del Bernini, coro en nogal con sillerìas esculpidas del siglo XVII, y
una pintura que se dice ser de Gaudenzio Ferrari de 1532. Abierta solo durante la

Santa Maria de Loppia (localidad Loppia). Pequeña basílica románica, presen-
ta una fachada a cabaña, huellas de frescos, àbside semi-circular, campanario
coronado por arcos colgantes. Se sitùa en el parque de Villa Gerli, visible desde
Loppia per no està abierta al pùblico. (Tavola 1 - D3 / Tavola 3 - 6)
San Martin (localidad Visgnola). En estilo romànico raramente abierta al pùbli-
co. (Tavola 1 - B5 / Tavola 3 - 13)
Beata Vergine Annunciata di Breno (localidad Visgnola). Construida en el
siglo XVI y renovada entre el 1700 y el 1800. A l'interior se encontra un retablo
de escuela lombarda del principio del 1500, una escultura del Cristo muerto y
una pintura estupenda, hecha en el 1500,con la Virgen de las Rosas.

Punta Spartivento - A 10 minutos del centro. Magnìfico panorama de los tres
“brazos” del lago y la cadena de los Alpes.
Pescallo - A 15 minutos del centro, caracterìstica aldea de pescadores con su
sugestiva plazuela.
Loppia - A 20 minutos del centro, dàrsenas con atraque para las antiguas gón-
dolas del Lario, grandes embarcaciones de madera utilizadas hasta mediados
del siglo pasado para el transporte de la mercancía y de los animales.
San Juan - A 30 minutos del centro, embarcadero caracterìstico, escuela de
canotaje.
Molinos del Perlo - A una hora aproximadamente del centro. Magnìfico panora-
ma de los tres brazos del lago y al fondo la vista de la cadena de los Alpes.
Chevrio-Makallè - A una hora y media del centro. Espectacular vista panoràmi-
ca y òptima posición para estupendas fotografìas.
Monte San Primo (1686 metros de altura) Estupenda vista de los Alpes (al norte)
y de la Llanura Padana (al sur). Carretera transitable hasta Alpe del Borgo
situada a los pies de la montana y luego a pié en 2 horas de camino hasta la
cumbre o 25 minutos hasta el Refugio Martina del Alpe delle Ville.

TREMEZZO: Villa Carlotta. Se puede llegar a pié sea desde Tremezzo que
desde Cadenabbia en pocos minutos. La villa fue construida en 1690 por el
Marqués Giorgio Clerici y luego adquiriò el nombre de “Carlotta”, princesa
prusiana que la obtuvo como dote en 1848 en ocasión de sus bodas con el
Duque de Sasonia Meiningen. Parque magnìfico de plantas raras, famoso por
la floraciòn de sus azaleas y rododendros. En la mansión se encuentran esta-
tuas de Canova y Thorwaldsen. Abierta todos los dìas desde mediados de
marzo hasta comienzos de noviembre de las 9.00 a las 18.00 horas; En
marzo, octubre y noviembre de las 10.00 a las 17.00 horas. Para informacio-

MENAGGIO: Villa Mylius Vigoni (suburbio de Loveno). Agradable caminata a
pié desde el muelle de Menaggio en direcciòn Lugano subiendo por unos 25
minutos o bien en autobus o auto.
Mansión del ‘800 hoy sede del Centro Italo-Alemàn que hospeda congresos y
seminarios. Se puede visitar el maravilloso y romántico parque con vista estu-
penda al centro del lago solo con visitas guiadas a las 14.30 y a las 16.30
horas: duración 1h30 minutos todos los jueves solo reservando con anticipa-
ción. Para los grupos la visita puede efectuarse diariamente. Durante los even-
tos, el parque està cerrado al pùblico.

VARENNA: tìpica aldea antigua de pescadores.
Castel Vezio (aproximadamente una hora a pié), ùltima residencia de la reina
longobarda Teodolinda.
Villa Monastero. Ex-convento cistercense del 1200, transformado en una espléndida
residencia nobiliaria en el siglo XVII. Desde 1936 sede de estudios cientìficos y
culturales a nivel internacional. Visitable solo el parque desde marzo a finales de
octubre desde las 9.30 horas a las 19.00 horas. La Casa-Museo Villa Monastero
esta visitable solo los viernes, sàbados y domingos. La Casa-Museo esta abierta

Villa Cipressi. Villa del ‘700 con un parque bellísimo y bien cuidado. Visitable
solo el parque desde abril hasta finales de octubre, todos los dìas de 9.00 a

LENNO: Villa Balbianello. Situada en la punta extrema del promontorio de Lavedo,
fué construìda sobre las ruinas del monasterio del cardenal Angel Maria Durini
a finales del ‘700. Ahora es propiedad del F.A.I., Fondo para el Medio Ambien-
te Italiano. Horario de apertura: desde mediados de marzo hasta mediados de
noviembre de las 10.00 a las 18.00 horas, excepto los lunes y los mièrcoles no
festivos. Se llega por tierra desde Lenno (1 km aprox) o con un barco particular.

PIONA: Abadìa Cistercense de Piona (1236/1422). Claustro con columnado
a capiteles diferentes. Bajo relieves de 1257 y 1352. Iglesia del siglo XI. Restos
del oratorio, inscripciones que se refieren al 1596.
ISLA COMACINA: Antigua fortaleza. Restos de los muros de iglesias y de la
basílica anteriores al 1169. Refugio de vasallos rebeldes y sede de batallas
navales entre los pueblos del lago aliados de Milàn contra Como. Destruìda
por los pobladores comascos con la ayuda de Barbarossa en 1169.
BELLANO: Con su famoso “Horrido” y la magnìfica Iglesia de San Nazario y
Celso (1348) donde se pueden admirar frescos de 1530.
COMO: No se puede olvidar la visita a la ciudad de Como con su catedral
(1396), la Iglesia romànica de San Fedele, la neoclàsica Villa Olmo, el Museo
Municipal de Arqueología y el templo-museo dedicado a Alejandro Volta a las
orillas del lago, asì como otros interesantes monumentos.

География - Белладжио находится на мысе в месте пересечения двух ветвей озера Комо.
Туристический центр занимает крайнюю часть мыса, в то время как многочисленные
городки располагаются вдоль берегов озера, а также на холмах.
Флора - Субальпийская, альпийская и средиземноморская растительность. Кипарисы
и сосны растут на берегах; виноградники и оливковые деревья - на солнечных
склонах; каштаны, буки, орешники и хвойные деревья встречаются преимущественно
в горах. Нарциссы и ландыши начинают цвести в марте, великолепие цветов азалий,
рододендронов и камелий открывается перед нами в апреле и мае. Розы, олеандры
и гортензии украшают Белладжио с июня по сентябрь. С конца сентября и до конца
октября сады и парки окрашиваются в потрясающую гамму осенних тонов.
Климат - Умеренный и мягкий климат способствует пышному цветению растений и
цветов. Зимой средняя температура не опускается ниже 6-7 °С, а летом не превышает
25-30°C, благодаря легкому дневному ветерку “breva”, типичному для озера Комо.
Историческая справка - Заселен уже в доисторические времена, Белладжио являлся
летней резиденцией римских патрициев, а впоследствии стал местом отдыха для
знатных семей региона Ломбардия, которые построили здесь великолепные виллы. В
прошлом в Белладжио съезжались поэты и писатели со всего мира: Плиний Младший,
Тэн, Лонгфелло, Твен, Шелли, Стендаль, Флобер, Форе, Джордано, Тосканини и Франц
Лист.
Гастрономия - В основе местной кухни - типичные блюда озера и региона Ломбардия:

(сладкий хлеб).
Местное ремесленное производство - озеро Комо издавна славится своей шелковой
промышленностью. Среди продукции местных мастеров - резьба по оливковому дереву,
выдувные изделия из стекла с ручной росписью, изделия из кожи ручной работы, в том
числе обувь.
Шопинг - Помимо изделий ремесленного производства, в многочисленных магазинах
можно найти ювелирные украшения, одежду, аксессуары, подарки, произведения
искусства и антиквариат, изделия из фарфора и керамики, бижутерию и сувениры.
Мероприятия и спектакли- В Белладжио проходят музыкальные фестивали, хоровые
и инструментальные выступления как под открытим небом, так и внутри церквей. Летними
вечерами проходят различные традицыонные народные праздники и ежедневные музыкальные
развлечения в барах, кафе и ресторанах.
ВИЛЛЫ, САДЫ И МУЗЕИ
Villa Serbelloni (Вилла Сербеллони) - из садов XVIII века открывается великолепный
вид на озера Комо и Лекко, с мыса видна северная ветвь озера и Предальпы. Парк
виллы Сербеллони можно посетить только в сопровождении экскурсовода с марта
по ноябрь (для групп от 6 до 30 человек). Экскурсия длится около полутора часов и
проводится каждый день, кроме понедельника (отменяется в плохую погоду). Сбор
групп два раза в день, в 11.00 и 15.30 у средневековой башни на площади церкви Сан

Villa Melzi (Вилла Мельци) - Эта великолепная вилла была построена в 1808 году

Basilica di San Giacomo (Базилика Сан Джакомо) (Борго) - Oтличный пример романо-
ломбардского искусства (XII в.), построенный между 1075 и 1125 гг. мастерами Комо.
Мозаики началa XX века; богатый алтарь конца XVI века; «Погребение Христа»
работы Перуджино; распятие, относящееся к XII веку; триптих работы Фоппа (1432 г.);
полихромная деревянная скульптура Христа испанской школы барокко. (Tavola 1 - G4

San Giorgio (Сан Джоржио) (Борго) - Pоманская церковь, относящаяся к периоду
1080-1120 гг, внутри которой находится статуя “Маdonna della Cintura”. С 1658 года
в прилегающей часовне располагается братство «Чинтурати» (Tavola 1 - G5 / Tavola 2
- V3)
San Giovanni Battista (Сан Джованни Баттиста) (Сан Джованни). Здание в стиле
барокко (XVII век), один неф с деревяным алтарем XVII века. Главные ценности церкви:
фреска школы региона Ломбардии «Маdonna delle grazie”, мраморная скульптура
“Immacolata” работы Каррара (школа Бернини), помещения хора из орехового дерева с
резными сиденьями XVII века и картина Гауденцио Фeрpаpи 1532 года. Открыта только

Santa Maria di Loppia (Санта Мария ди Лоппия) (Лоппия). Небольшая романская
базилика, двухскатный фасад, следы фресок, полукруглая апсида, колокольня украшена
подвесными арками. Церковь, которая видна из Лоппии, расположена в парке виллы

Punta Spartivento (Мыс Пунта Спартивенто) - 10 минут от центра города. Превосходный
вид на озеро и Aльпы.
Pescallo (Пескалло) - 15 минут от центра, типичная рыбацкая деревня, крaсивая
маленькая площадь.
Loppia (Лоппия) - 20 минут от центра, гавань со старыми гондолами и большими
деревянными суднами, которые использовались до середины прошлого века для
транспортировки грузов и животных.
San Giovanni (Сан Джованни) - 30 минут от центра города. Порт, спортивная школа
гребли, музей навигационных приборов.
Mulini del Perlo (Мулини дель Перло). Около 1 часа от центра города. Bеликолепный
вид на три ветви озера на фоне горных массивов Aльп.
Chevrio-Makallè (Кеврио-Макалле) - полтора часа от центра Белладжио. Великолепный
вид и отличное место для красивых фотографий.
Мonte San Primo (гора Сан Примо) (1686 м.). Великолепный вид на Альпы (на севере)
и на Паданскую равнину (на юге). Можно доехать до Alpe del Borgo (Альпе дель Борго)
у подножья горы, потом пешком (2 часа) до вершины или 25 минут до Rifugio Martina
dall’Alpe delle Ville ( рифуджио Мартина даль Альпе делла Вилле).
