1. George Clooney: The Perpetual Heartbreaker
A self-proclaimed bachelor for life, Clooney has broken the hearts of many strong,
successful women. The 50-year-old “lady killer” told Piers Morgan in January
2011 he had “already given marriage a shot,” so he was not likely to try it again,
despite having his parents’ 50-year marriage as an example.

The Early Years
Before Clooney earned $15 million a movie, he landed television roles on some of
the most popular sitcoms of the 1980s, including The Facts of Life and Roseanne.
Dedee Pfeiffer: mid-1980s
His onscreen flirtations with Nancy McKeon and Laurie Metcalf unfolded
alongside real-life romance with actress Dedee Pfeiffer, the sister of A-list star
Michelle Pfeiffer, who later starred opposite Clooney in “One Fine Day” in 1996.
Kelly Preston: 1987-89
Clooney entered his first grownup relationship with actress Kelly Preston, who is
now the wife of John Travolta. For two years, the struggling actors shared a
Hollywood Hills home and a potbellied pig. Max lived for 18 years, making
Clooney’s relationship with a pig the longest he has ever had.
Talia Balsam: 1989-92
On a heartbroken rebound, Clooney dived right into his only marriage with actress
Talia Balsam, but the Las Vegas elopement ended in divorce three years later.
Clooney told Vanity Fair that he “probably – definitely – wasn’t someone who
should have been married at that point.”
A Rising Star
Clooney’s portrayal of Dr. Doug Ross on ER in 1994 helped him seize the lead
role in “Batman & Robin” a year later. This catapulted him to stardom, landing

Kimberly Russell: 1995
While starring as a debonair gentleman in a martini commercial, Clooney met
actress Kimberly Russell, who was only one of a bevy of beauties basking in the
rising star’s limelight.
Karen Duffy: 1995-96
Clooney appeared at the 1995 Emmy Awards with former MTV VJ Karen Duff on
his arm, but the pair lasted less than a year. In 2000, Duffy jokingly told the
Chicago Sun-Times, “I could never fall in love with a man who has a pet pig.”
Celine Balitran: 1996-99
By 1996, the perpetual bachelor seemed ready to settle down. He moved in with
his French girlfriend, Celine Belitran, who waitressed and modeled while attending
law school. After wrapping his Paris film, “The Peacemaker,” the couple moved to
Los Angeles, appearing together at the 1996 Emmy Awards and the 1997 Golden
Globe Awards. Clooney once again entered bachelorhood three years later when
the relationship ended.
Recent Heartbreaks
Now an international superstar, Clooney has earned a reputation as a playboy,
simultaneously dating the world’s most beautiful actresses and models. Even when
they are just friends, the paparazzi can’t help speculating about every woman
caught on his arm.
Lisa Snowdon: 2000-05
Clooney’s on-again, off-again relationship with Lisa Snowden, a British actress
and model, spanned nearly five years. Often spotted together at Hollywood events,
including the 2004 premieres of “The Bourne Supremacy” and “Ocean’s Twelve,”
Snowdon maintained her UK residence, straining the serious relationship. In 2008,
she told the Daily Mail that “the media attention was unbelievable. I’m not sure
how I survived it.”
Renee Zellweger: 2001

Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts and Renee Zellweger. Rumors surfaced in late
2001, and again in 2006, that Clooney and Zellweger were a couple, but the
friends, who worked together in the 2008 football movie “Leatherheads,” have
maintained there were never any romantic feelings.
Krista Allen: 2002-05
Clooney met Baywatch Hawaii actress Krista Allen while filming “Confessions of
a Dangerous Mind.” Clooney bounced between Allen and Snowden before ending
both relationships in late 2005, although Allen was spotted on his arm again in
2008 after another breakup. She later told the New York Daily News that she “just
can’t get over him.”
Lucy Liu: 2006
Rumors about Clooney’s relationship with “Charlie’s Angel” Lucy Liu began
circulating in 2000. Although both denied the romance, a steamy kiss was captured
on camera on the eve of 2006. Clooney and Liu were also spotted sharing several
intimate dinners, but neither has ever confirmed their status as a couple.
Sara Larson: 2007-08
The model, Las Vegas cocktail waitress and Fear Factor winner, Sara Larson,
appeared with Clooney at the 2007 Venice Film Festival and again at the 2008
Academy Awards. In September, the highly-publicized couple survived a
motorcycle crash, but by his 2008 premiere of “Leatherheads,” they had parted
ways.
Elisabetta Canalis: 2009-11
Another woman who could not resist Clooney’s charm – or Harley – was the
Italian model and actress Elisabetta Canalis, who stood on the red carpet with
Clooney at the 2009 Venice Film Festival. The media has speculated that
Clooney’s dedication to bachelorhood put an end to the relationship, especially
after Canalis told an Italian reporter that she was a “firm believer in marriage.”
Stacy Keibler: 2011-present
Less than two months after his breakup with Canalis, Clooney has been linked with

fame as a professional wrestler in the WWE and WCW. The new romance has
been described by one source as a “rebound fling,” although another source says
the couple is already “exclusive.”
