2. Camera Shots
This is an establishing
shot which zooms out
from the previous shot to
view Earth from space. It
is covered in cracks and
fire, implying
the devastation that has
caused destruction upon
the world from the break
out of Zombies. This
makes the viewer excited
about watching it, as
they want to see how the
world actually ends up
that bad.
3. Typography
The titles are bold, and in the
colour of red and black. This
represents the blood and gore
that is going to be shown
throughout the film. The font
titles are edited well and very
‘in your face’. Each title is abit
different, so this shows the
diversity in characters and
things that are going to happen
in the film. The movement of
the titles are also different,
some pan along the screen,
where as others just pop out
and look asthough they are 3D.
The title in Zombie land (on the
left) gets smashed, this is
effective because it could
represent the earth getting

5. Why is the opening effective?
The opening of Zombie land is effective from the very first thing we
see, which is the American flag. This is in the foreground and brings our
focus into the film. This is a close up shot. There is non-diegetic sound
of a guitar playing over the top of the shot which shows that America is
messed up because the distorted guitar was playing a messed up version
of the American national anthem. Over the top of this non-diegetic
sound is the voice of a man speaking about America and saying there is
no America if there is no people, this is effective because it gives the
viewer an understanding of what the film is going to be about.
