Greatest Common Factor (GCF)
The greatest common factor (GCF) of two
numbers is the greatest number that is a
 factor of both.
Find the greatest common factor of
            12 and 18.
Step 1: List the factors of 12 and 18. Think
of all the numbers that can be divided into
  12 and 18 evenly.
12: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
18: 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18
Step 2: What are the common factors?
1, 2, 3, and 6
Step 3: Find the GCF. 6
