- Question: to determine to what extent priority signaling will be feasible in Dublin
• Sub Questions
- What social requirements does public transport need to fulfill? (and when is it
fulfilled)
- What is the political willingness for transit priority measures to be introduced?
- What are the technical requirements that are necessary for transit priority
measure to be introduced?
- Are transit priority measures the best way to increase public transport status?

Methodology
1. Writing of the first chapter (above information)
2. Research into society and political theory – why PT is important and why certain policies
are implemented
3. Test these theories through surveys of population and interviewing politicians
4. Research technical requirements to implementing priority signaling and determine which
method/model is best
• Give brief case study – Amsterdam, London and how its implemented there
5. Model the current bus and LUAS network + model the network using the new method /
model. Determine effects on PT, other road vehicles, pedestrains (crossings), cyclists
6. Evaluate other reliability measures against this answer
