The proposal summarizes the key elements of the previous Mayapur master plan and proposes a new plan based on those elements. The proposal orients the city around two main axes connecting the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium and Srila Prabhupada's samadhi. A grid system divides the city into modules centered around a large temple park. The plan allocates areas for residential, commercial, and community uses like schools and allocates over half the land to parks, spiritual facilities, and open spaces.
3. Many studies were done which can be
successfully implemented in the new Master
Plan
(in particular inside the core area).

35. TEMPLE PARK
A big size park connected with the temple is needed:
• To accommodate large number of people visiting the temple;
• To provide un-obstructed flow of the visitors;
• To accommodate Theme Parks (saving space);
• To provide enough space for different festivals and activities
• Will give enough open space for proper appreciation of the
Temple.
40. We allocate a
pond in the
north-east side
of the park,
according to
Vastu directives,
and a big
Sankirtan
Stadium.
41. Divided in the
Theme Parks
on the right and
an appreciation
space with
gardens around
the TOVP.
42. THEME PARK: Getting to the temple
through Krishna’s pastimes
The reach of the temple through
Prabhupada Avenue will give the
opportunity to witness the exhibitions
of different dioramas depicting the
pastimes of Lord Sri Krishna.

70. THE FLEXIBILITY OF THE GRID
A grid made out of squares allows us interact the modules with each
other and do different operations:

73. The use of a grid has advantages, such as:
• Provides flexibility for Mayapur development;
• Helps to develop the city in an organized/predicted
manner;
• Assists pedestrian movement;
• Geometry helps with orientation and wayfinding;
• Maximizes the use of the land in blocks.
