3. Ingredients For Charisma
Have Energy : Energy increases “personal
magnetism”, which attracts and energises others.
Build Relationship : Communicate with passion, use
body language, tell captivating stories, show empathy,
tap into mood.
4. Have Passion : Energy and Courage bloom out only
when there is passion.
Your passion prompts others to show enthusiasm.
. Build Trust : Become someone to rely on by
consistently honouring commitment.
5. Show Confidence : Confidence is more important
than competence. People want to be lead by self
assured.
Be Articulate : Paint word pictures, use metaphors,
tell stories to engage others.
6. Take Responsibility : “ I will make it happen”, “leave
that to me”, “let me sort it out” and so on are the
language reflecting, assuming responsibility.
Take Centre Stage : Be willing to step into limelight
to make your case, think “ how can I make difference
here.”
7. Smiling and charisma are inseparable. The smiling
enhances the charisma. Smile should be genuine.
Hand Shake , not too strong nor too weak; just
appropriate for the culture, person, age, sex etc.
8. Be Courteous – like opening door for others, talk
politely , even on the phone, not interrupting while
talking, excusing very courteously and so on.
Empathy – understand and realise what others are
feeling.
9. Eye contact - Maintain eye contact, bit longer, with
total attention. No distraction.
Connect – look for common areas to connect with
others.
10. Respect : Avoid making others to feel bad.
Language : Choose words carefully and mean what
you say.
Questions : Mainly to encourage them to talk
11. Stories : Personal stories sharing, when handled well,
builds rapport.
Sensitivity : Asses the state of mind of others by
watching for mixture of verbal and non-verbal cues.
