3. AKC(1877-1947)
According to the Murray Fowler (1947), Ananda Kentish Coomaraswamy
(1877-1947) was a Ceylonese philosopher and metaphysician, as well as a
pioneering historian and philosopher of Indian arts, particularly arts
history and symbolism, and an early interpreter of Indian culture to the
West.
OBJECTIVES
Two main objectives of this study were to:
•Conducted a bibliometric study of Ananda Coomaraswamy
• Develop a Online Data Base Management System (DBMS)

4. Sri Lankan libraries were used as the population of this study
and stratified random sampling technique was used to select
required libraries. As a result, 13 University libraries, 05
Special Libraries, 01 National Library and 02 Public Libraries
selected as a sample
MATERIALS & METHODS
The library automation application named WinISIS
Microsoft excel package was used to analysis bibliometric
data

It was found that the Library of the University of
Peradeniya houses maximum number of AC’s
scholarly works
93% was represented the AC’s bibliographical data and
next 7% was represented the AC’s work which were
done by others
