Borderlands 2 – Genre Conventions
The Layout in a First Person Action Shooter is weapon
based combat game which is seen through a first
person perspective, making the player experience the
game through the characters eyes. FPAS are 3D which
makes the environments and enemies for realistic for
the player these sorts of games also include ammo
health and usually a level bar on screen instead of
levels being in a menu of some kind

The shooter part in a First Person Action Shooter
Game is very similar to other shooter game types
it test the players reaction time as well most
commonly the character will wield a gun as a
weapon or some other long range weapon such
as a bow. The main part in the shooter games is
that to proceed through missions shooting
enemies and without the player dying, if I player
was to die it would either respawn at the closest
checkpoint or go down waiting to be revived this
way is usually only found in multiplayer but can
be found in game or if the player has main NPC
with him which can revive the player.
Borderlands 2 – Genre Conventions
Gameplay in First Person Action Shooters usually include the player being one
avatar and having one or more gun or long ranged weapon with a vary of enemies
to fight. Being 3D makes the games more realistic but that’s not the only thing that
makes it realistic it also includes accurate representations of gravity, sound, lighting
and environments. FPAS usually have more of a action gameplay including bloody
fire fights as well as having emphasis on the narrative parts in the game as well as
including problem solving and puzzles. Guns are a big part of these games but as
well as this melee is also a big part of it especially in some games where melee can
be a very powerful way of fighting. Many of First Person Action Shooters include
some sort of power ups which can make the characters skills more advanced in
different ways. Healing is a big part of these games and healing can be achieved in
several different ways from finding cover to regenerate heal to eating food and
consuming potions.
