“As a single mother of two, it is imperative for me to ensure that my children are happy and
joyful as they are growing up. To be able to provide them with a supportive and nurturing
environment; where we are all living life to its fullest everyday; and to be appreciating all that
life has offered each of us despite the obstacles we faced;
it has definitely been challenging.
It is with these experiences that inspired me to establish the
Platinum Network for Reach Out Single Mums, as we call it.
The vision of “Reach Out Single Mums” is to share, create and explore opportunities
for single mothers out there.
From the opportunity to find a support network in us; to searching for a desired career
opportunity; to harnessing the many collaborations amongst the single mothers;
I sincerely believe that life will only get better and brighter.
So to all the single mothers out there who are seeking an opportunity to enhance
your current lifestyles, we will be delighted to be able to be a part of your journey.

The time period cited in each Platform is intended to gauge the length
of time each single mother will be participating in that Platform for.
Reach Out Single Mums’ Social Model is also intended to be progressional in
nature.
We can then witness a single mother flourishing into a majestic eagle through
her engagement in the various opportunities present in each of the Platforms.

Reach Out Single Mums is keen to
share opportunities in personal
grooming, training, confidence building,
etc for single mothers to participate. The
mums may select a course schedule
suitable for themselves amidst the
variety presented.
2. Community Platform
(6 - 36 months)
Reach Out Single Mums looks towards
creating opportunities of career
development for the single mothers. To
re-integrate into the modern workforce,
education and capacity building may
also be sought from existing partners.
Single mums may also be in search for
suitable jobs or be eking out
entrepreneurial pursuits for themselves.
3. National Platform
(36 months and more)
Reach Out Single Mums will explore
opportunities to model single mothers
to be trainers/coaches, to share their
career expertise. They may also choose
to play an active role in parent company,
Recruit Strategy’s Service Academy, as
part of the Trainers team, to mentor
Singapore’s younger generation.

Banks
Reach Out Single Mums’ parent company, Recruit
Strategy, has existing corporate bank clients that have
expressed an interest in participating in this social
model.
Discussions are currently in process with respective
banks to lend their expertise on financial literacy
programs; to the prospect of micro-lending for the
entrepreneurial single mothers.
Corporations
Aside from the banks, Reach Out Single
Mums is also exploring opportunities to
partner other business corporations, from
Singapore-born businesses to MNCs.
These partnerships are aimed at
providing support to the respective
Platforms within Reach Out Single Mums’
Social Model. This may range from
personal grooming lessons from leading cosmetic giants to etiquette training
with respective established trainers.
Motivational Speakers / Trainers
Reach Out Single Mums is in discussions with
established inspirational speakers to conduct
motivational seminars and discussion panels for the
single mothers. These seminars are aimed at sharing
ways to cultivate a positive mindset when approaching
life’s challenges.

With an existing collaboration with Reach Out Single Mums’ parent company,
Recruit Strategy Reach Out Single Mums would like to seek support from
institutions within the Public Sector, in the establishment of Reach Out
Single Mums as a Social Enterprise in Singapore, with a social mission
focused on the single mothers in Singapore.
As we adopt a longer term view, Reach Out Single Mums has the desire to
venture regional in our efforts to share, create and explore opportunities for
single mothers.

Sustainability
1. With Reach Out Single Mums’ focus on
sharing, creating and exploring opportunities
for single mothers, efforts are channelled to ensure that there is a tangible mode
of participation between the single mothers and Reach Out Single Mums’
respective partners.
This way, learnings and experiences are more
readily captured by the single mothers.
2. Additionally, Reach Out Single Mums’ comprises of three (03)
progressional Platforms that adopt an Individual, Community and
National focus.
Each Platform’s focus is aimed at relating a specific set of experiences to better
equip the single mother before her venture into the next Platform.
3. With a long term view in mind, the creation of jobs or entrepreneurs
amongst the single mothers is to generate positive social and economic
multiplier effects in Singapore.
In having single mothers as Mentors to the younger Singaporeans, there
is also a “passing-the-baton” of knowledge and experiences to benefit the
younger generations.
