2. Greek philosophers influence modern civilization even now, their thoughts in politics, science and math are still in use today. They shaped the way civilization views the world.
3. POLITICS During the time of Greek philosophers, democracy began. It began in Athens The word Democracy comes from the Greek words Demos: which means people and Kratos: which means power Which is how our country is based on today

5. Some of the Greek philosopher were excellent at math They stumbled upon math equations, theorems and other steps to create our math today. Without Pythagoras we wouldn’t have the Pythagorean theorem for geometry and when we get introduced to it in algebra. Without the thoughts of these philosopher we wouldn’t have the basic building blocks for math

Influenced science today Many philosophers had different theories A few had similar ideas in science A group know as the Atomist who were Leucippus and Democritus, they said that all things are composed of physical atoms. Then some mentioned that some of the elements played a high role in the world. Examples are one philosopher named Thales believed everything was made up of water another philosopher who agreed with him was Anaximenes

If there was never any philosophers If any of these philosophers never existed there wouldn’t have been a democratic government, which would mean we would have a king telling us what to do, so I that would mean I would live my life as a housewife by the age of 15 There would never be an education system , if there was it would only be for boys and it would be taught through church We would never be taught to think freely We would only know that the world is flat and everything is explained as “God did it”
10. Our lives today WE live today in a Democratic country that allows us to believe in whatever we want and has documented our legal rights Men and women are treated equally We have a right to education and are free to continue it farther
