Challenges

Limited sources of funding- Organizations
have been supported to write and submit

Lessons Learned
Organizations are more responsive to
interventions if addressed individually through
mentorship
If well facilitated CSOs have the capacity to
effectively deliver services in hard-to-reach areas
If well coordinated CSOs will work to
complement services rather than look at each
other as competitors

What to gain from the model
Using a multipronged approach to capacity
building ensures ownership of capacity building
interventions through a participatory process
The multi -pronged approach to capacity building
will help implementers tailor the best
interventions to individual organization since
“NO ONE SIZE FITS ALL”
