This is a sign celebrating thanksgiving. Back in my country we never celebrated Thanksgiving. The sign
doesn’t have to be like this one it can anything you want. This is the first thing I saw as I go in a relatives
house who were born here in U.S.
Ever since I found out about Thanksgiving I wondered how it started and it started years ago with the
Indigenous people with the white who conquer their land. In this picture we can them gathering. As I recall in
my former history class, it started to show thankfulness that they survive their lives in the new world.
This is the “Thankful Tree” where we write on the leaves what we were thankful for and we got to stick them
on the branches of the tree.
Another activity is making a turkey out of paper plate and toilet paper. My little sister made these at her
school to celebrate thanksgiving. These also help them enhance the creativity of the children.
As you can see this is not an actual picture I took, because I didn’t get to take a picture of us praying before
we eat. Just before we all eat, we bless the food first and again said thank you for having the family together
on that day.
This is the picture where everyone starts getting their food, while the elderly are on the right side chatting
and talking about how long they haven’t seen each other and how cold the weather is. =)
These were the food on the table before we ate them and on the middles of the table you can see the turkey.
The main course of the evening without it thanksgiving is not complete.
These are also the other meal beside from the other table. These are more of like an appetizer.
This is me and my siblings with my cousins who were born here to celebrate Thanksgiving. <3
These are my cousin-in-laws and uncle who are drinking and enjoying their night being thankful to be with
their fellow men. In the background there are Christmas lights because Christmas is just around the corner.
