www.rezstream.com
3801 E Florida Ave. Suite 800
Denver, CO 80210
Sales: 866-360-8210
Length of video
1. Don’t try and fit everything in one video
2. Break them apart into separate videos – Keeping them engaged is more important than having one long video. Keep
them moving through your site. (Overview of property, Dining, area activities, accommodations)
3. If you can’t hold your viewers’ attention – the video is pointless
4. Connect with your viewers on an emotional level
5. Give the viewers a sense of feeling of where they are
6. Provide calls to action
Audio for your video
1. Make sure your audio is good quality. It can be a big disappointment if you have a great
video, but bad audio.
2. Spend the extra money on great music. Music tells you how you should feel during video
– it’s all about your brand – It should complement your message. Approx.$199
(www.marmosetmusic.com - www.themusicbed.com)
Tell your unique story – what makes you different
Move the camera
1. Dynamic camera movements (slider movements, crane movements, time lapses, stedicam shots)
2. Make sure the movements have a purpose. Use them to help tell your story
3. If the camera is constantly moving and has no purpose the viewer may get lost. (sea sick)
4. These movements will make your story more interesting and it will draw the viewer in

www.rezstream.com
3801 E Florida Ave. Suite 800
Denver, CO 80210
Sales: 866-360-8210
How Long should my video be?
• TV has changed our attention spans and we have become trained to lose focus after a short amount of time. People are
watching less and less commercials due to DVRs.
• Imagine you have (1) minute to talk about your property. What would you say?
Should videos have voice overs, interviews
• Voice overs if done professionally can make a big impact. It helps tell your story and drive home your selling proposition.
• Having a live person on camera can also be intriguing. Visitors learn the personality of you and the property. Try to
make it casual - when it becomes a production – everyone seems to tense up.
• Good Audio is important - step away from running water, cars driving by, and wind. Make sure you are mic’d up
properly.
How long does the video editing process take?
• Editing times will vary depending on length, color correction, and audio in
the video.
• If the videographer creating your video uses a storyboard and the scenes
are shot properly this can help speed up the process.
• Preplan. Preplan. Preplan… Get involved with your story.
How should I place the video on my site?
• Some people prefer to just upload the video to YouTube. Which is a great way to start, but talk with your web
developer, they can upload the video directly on your site with another video player. Make sure the video player
uses html5. If the video is on a flash player it will not play on Apple devices (iPad, iPhone).

www.rezstream.com
3801 E Florida Ave. Suite 800
Denver, CO 80210
Sales: 866-360-8210
How many rooms can you shoot in a day?
• On average 4-6 rooms per day can be shot.
• This can vary depending on advanced staging or client specific shot requests
• This does not include exterior photos or video
What are the shooting hours?
• All photographers are different. We encourage you to speak to them in advance to get a sense for their shooting hours.
RezStream routinely shoots sunrise to sunset to maximize your photography budget.
How many images do I get? (Example 2 day shoot)
• This will vary on the scope of work outlined by you and the photographer.
• You may get 40 images from one photographer and 20 from another. This usually happens because of quality of
staging and lighting. Some people may say I get more for my money with 40 images. This will depend on how
professional you want the images to look. Remember you are trying to sell an experience.
Who owns the photography?
• Most photographers will do this two different ways.
• First is that you pay a daily rate for the photographer and you will own the imagery, however the photographer
has the right to use the photos for his/her portfolio.
• A second option is you pay a lower daily rate, but the photographer owns the rights to the images and you have to
pay licensing fees. (different fees apply to the media type. Web only, print or publication. ) You will then have to
renew after your agreement is up if you want to continue using the images.
RezStream feels option one is the most convenient for our clients.

Get involved to assure you get the images you desire
I have found success working alongside the client as well
as working solo and just running with my vision. You know
your property best so working with the photographer will
help get you the best possible product.
1. Scout property before shoot during different times of day. (pay close attention to the lighting)
2. Make a list of shots that are priority top to bottom. Interiors, bathrooms, exteriors,
dining, lifestyle. (some images take more time than you think to stage and capture – sometimes the photographer
or assistant will have to rearrange items, steam the sheets, etc.)
3. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. (when you have questions the photographer can explain why he/she
shoots a certain way in order to capture the best image.)
4. Prepare props for styling. (Models, flowers, books, wine, towels, suite cases, activity accessories, etc…)
5. Walk around with the photographer and show your notes and discuss a strategy.
6. Have fun with it.

Things to be aware of:
1. Video production usually cost more than photography. A lot more planning, staging, and equipment setup is usually
involved thus costing more for a complete production.
2. Your photographer may have the ability to shoot video as well, but make sure you plan for the time involved to set
up different gear as it takes time.
3. If you want help speed up the process for the photographer and videographer, one way you can help is always try
and work ahead of them. This will speed the process up a lot more.
